Seen Randy many of games at he Aud, was a gazelle on the fastbreak too. Coach Ramsey loved Randy's smarts and game control. Really enjoyed hearing Don Criqui doing the play-by-play. Historically a very underrated player and also was a very great soccer player.
You have to remember that Randy Smith was a legitimate three sport All American in college and basketball was his number three sport. He was an incredible soccer player - his best sport - and an almost seven foot high jumper. Incredible athlete, I bet he would have been even better in football as a wide received.

Young John wall was a bullet in human form. No pun intended. But with the ball in his hands, I don’t know if there was anybody more explosive off the bounce as peak Derrick rose. His top end acceleration was ridiculous. Randy definitely is on that short list of the fastest guys too tho.

When he won the MVP in the All-Star game, Coach Jack Ramsey of the losing West team, said, "What was saw Randy do today I saw him do many times". Ramsey coached Randy in Buffalo. That's high praise.

Both, it depends on what game you'd look at. Braves games are full with commentary for example.
If he didn't play with super scorer mcadoo he would have averaged over 30 ppg.
