I have like 20 of those loll. A must for any goth wardrobe. And I have the exact same pair 2-3 times with different sizes holes cut into them, so I have variation.

I really like my spider web one :) got it in Halloween stuff. It makes outfits so spooky, I think it looks quite cool :).

Huge thank you for this!! Tbh I prefer cutting just the tip of the fishnet to have that tighter mesh as a border for the new top. But I see why it is necesary to pass at least the thumb, it rolls back to fast!

What size fishnets do you suggest I get I’m 5’9 but I’m super thin so should I get like a medium?
I usually get a one size XD especially when its for cutting up

Can't believe I've been gravitating around goth culture for over 10 years, but I've never made a top out of tights!

Finally did this project!! I had a fishnet pair but couldn’t bare to cut them cause I loved wearing them as tights under things, but I finally got another pair 😊
Does it rip while washing it? If it survives the first wear without any tears😅
I put it in a delicated bag, together with other stockings etc, so they stay the way they are and dont fully rip
When i have holes in my fishnets they get really big really fast so im scared if i do that they'll undo themselves...

how would you stop it from fraying?
I feel it doens't really fray because of the way fishnets are made... I still wear pairs I ripped open years ago to this day.

Jokes aside this was really easy to follow and they came out perfect!! I had a pair with bigger holes and I was worried it wouldn't look good until you mentioned you prefer using bigger net haha

I guess I'm a bit late, but I don't think fishnet tops are significantly more feminine than most staples of emo fashion (i.e. stuff like skinny jeans or tight shirts). Whether you don't want to 'look gay' because of bullying, girls not being interested in you or some other reason I can't tell, but: 1.: If you're already an emo, then (let's be real) the people who would pick on you for wearing this would be doing so right now anyway 2.: I'm pretty sure most girls (or people in general) who you should get along with well aren't the type to associate more fem clothing with being gay.
