I respect how honest he is
facts
Yeah and when he’s not honest he’s the biggest and funniest troll
I'm shocked. Are you even allowed to be this honest?
bruh he’s trolling he’s not being honest 😂😂😂
Honest but sorta airheaded
"Compare me to MJ I suck compare me to big perk I'm a superstar" 🤣 very true Richard
4:25
“I won a championship with that idiot” rj is savage
This dude is mad funny lol
S/o to gq for this interview and not blurring anything out
Fr 😂😂
Richard is the goat glad to he see him get some exposure
You should check out his podcast if you haven’t. Road trippin. With Channing Frye and Allie Clifton
He was talking so fast that the editor was like, 'screw it.'
A white guy disguise as black
"neither of those fuckers" lmao never knew rj was this funny
🤣🤣🔥
Lol I’m with you!
You should listen to him with Gilbert arenas..
This guy is an example of speaking your mind
The whitest black guy
@@st4r444That is the perfect way of explaining this man
Excellent commentator for this reason
"Compared to Kendrick perkins, Im a fuckin Superstar." This roast is gold.
Fr
RJ easily just broke the record for “words spoken” on an ‘Actually Me’ episode lol
Dude talks HELLA fast lmao. But it somehow works.
Sometimes he just need to shut up tho when he's commentating, dude talks off track so much
Never knew RJ was this hilarious🤣🤣🤣
His TikTok is funny too
Why do you think Bron kept him around
Love how RJ incorporates humor & personal stories in his commentary!
I love RJ, him and Reggie Miller are my two favorites on commentary. Shocked to hear that only the minority likes him as a commentator.
RJ is such a great personality... if only he started playing ball during this generation people would appreciate him much more. Plus with this being the social media age... he'd be one of the biggest personalities in basketball.
No doubt
Truu
Yeah no doubt. I feel like the closest player we got to him right now is Anthony Edwards (Play style is like a modern version of RJ and he's got a good sense of humor like RJ, but maybe isn't as quick witted - though that could get better with age since he's really young right now).
Life time nets fan. He was my favorite player. He should've made atleast one all star team.
We both old enough to know how official Richard Jefferson was on the Nets . He's just old son of course anyone under 30 years old has no clue . It's like us watching Moses Malone in his twilight years with them goggles on playing like trash lol
respect his ability to talk that fast and make sense at the same time and not make any stupid verbal mistakes. big ups.
He’s a funny charismatic dude! I enjoy when he calls nba games.
i love how honest and great at basketball he is
He’s honest. Never a great player. A decent player who could jump out the gym.
@@Saveyourbs he was a great player he averaged 22 in his prime
@@Saveyourbs I mean it's all relative. Anyone scoring 10+ points a game in the NBA is a great/elite level basketball player without a doubt. Being an elite NBA player is a separate discussion.
@@Digimonboy lol ok.
@@TheHeadincharge 💯
I want RJ on JJ Redicks Podcast 😂
He has his own podcast called “road trippin”
@@James-oi5zu we know that but Rj Hates Duke....it would be a fun one
Your wish has been granted
Richard Jefferson was a beast while he was playing with the NETS. Loved that team😊✌
Agreed. He was a key player during that Nets era.
what's a nets?
@@tomthibodeau992 brooklyn nets was formerly the New Jersey Nets.
@@tomthibodeau992 nets is just a monicker they called the team.
@@tiyukitv6508 never heard of it, maybe it is just one of those poverty franchises no one cares about
I love how RJ basically says anything on his mind without hesitation
RJ is always entertaining besides being a good analyst- I'm one of those that have been saying for over a year now- give RJ and Perk a 2 man show, those 2 are always funny together without even trying
Yup, they gon' be Key and Peele of basketball world😂
why don't people like his commentary, i feel like i can listen to him forever.
Get Perk out of the same sentence as RJ... Perk is a clown and RJ is HOF GOAT level commentator/personality
As RJ said in this very video: "Compared to Perk, I'm a superstar". Kendrick Perkins can't get off the air fast enough, don't propose more opportunities for that bozo. Get like RJ & T-Mac or something
I'm starting to like this guy even more. He's so entertaining to listen to, he's so honest, and doesn't sugarcoat things like some of the people do. He speaks what's in his mind. Respect.
LMAO IF HE DONT PLAY WELL LBJ GON TRADE HIM 😂😂
A national treasure😭😭
@@thatgamerquel FR
I truly admire how honest he is
He talks super fast but never fumbles his words
Richard’s like deadpan and/or dry humor is top-tier
You gotta love RJ man, he don’t care about some things that he says
he's f*ckin real
fan: “yo RJ say hi to my wife”
RJ: “ill text her”
that’s when I thought this guy is actually hilarious. Great player too in his prime.
Remember when he called off his wedding the night before because his fiancee wouldn't sign a prenup? Then proceeded to just give his credit card to his bestman and told gim to treat everyone for wasting their time. Dude's a legend.
Edit: the prenup reason was Stephen Jackson. RJ did leave his girl on their wedding day too back in 2009 but no reason was given.
thats epic lmao
I don’t think that was Jefferson. That happened to Stephen Jackson, who played with the Spurs back in the day
Although it is true that RJ called off his wedding before, but that story about prenup is to Stephen Jackson. Shut that fake news story down 🤷♂️🤦♂️
@@harveyscottz yeah i mixed it up. But RJ did leave his girl on the day (no reason given why he did) and gave his credit card to his friends. I just looked it up.
Richard Jefferson really was good in the first half of his career. His career numbers suffer cause he was a role player for the second half of his career. But he was legit in his prime. A quality defender throughout his career. New Jersey Jefferson was a great player.
Richard Jefferson, in his prime, was an all star or borderline. . He was good and had some highlight dunks to boot.
Homie is hella honest lol
How can you not love this man?!
i think tnt will try to swoop in, and test the waters with him after chuck retires. hes prob the closest to that level of entertainment. charles still in a league of his own tho
I love the fact that more and more people are now getting to enjoy the reason Arizona basketball fans love this guy. Not only was he an Arizona legend but he was also hilarious. That tattoo is legendary lol.
Very proud of him and hope he continues to gain more popularity. Great dude and so honest.
RJ is the Ryan Reynolds of the NBA.
That’s exactly what I said lol.
Pretty accurate
He looks like him if he was black
terrible analogy.... you wouldn't comment the opposite
RJ is hilarious 😂😂
I'd love to see RJ and Charles Barkley together. Just 2 honest dudes who don't care what others think of them
RJ on TNT would be a good pick up. Plus he has the requirements to be one. He's a good analyst, he's funny, and he's bald.
@@lenirish 🤣
@@lenirish I'm crying dude 🤣🤣
@@lenirish “and he’s bald” 🤣🤣🤣
Yeah RJ should definitely do standup comedy. Bro is hilarious and always straight up and honest.
And he wouldn't even need to prepare any jokes. He's so good off the top.
I didn't know RJ was funny until I saw this😂😂, Thank you GQ for not blurring the cuss words.
I love this dude, he’s so funny without telling jokes
Richard Jefferson was REALLY good in his prime. He was the perfect SF on those early 00's Nets teams that went to 2 straight NBA Finals.
Would have been an All-Star and All-NBA in 05 if he didnt get hurt. Never was the same player after that.
Its weird we live in a world where Joe Johnson went to like 8 All-Star games and RJ never went to one. Nothing against Johnson, he was a fine player BUT Id take prime RJ over prime JJ any day, any time.
They really were the definition of teamwork back then.
RJ a Stan of Bron too. Love it!!!
love this dude, im glad where he is at right now, also i do remember he was the third "all star" on the old school nets, during that age of days avg 20 in a playoff team is literally the definition of all star caliber player
Richard Jefferson is the man! I grew up watching the 2000s net and the team with RJ, Jkidd, K-Mart, and kittles. White mamba was also on that team during that time. I had the chance to meet RJ briefly when he was on the Jazz and practicing at Baruch college before playing the Knicks. He came out the side door and I screamed his name , super nice guy and took a pic with me.
10 mins of rj being a national treasure lml
his personality just says that he is made for tv
gotta love the honesty and humor, RJ is great 😂💪🏽
Feel so bad for whom is typing his responses; but it’s truly hilarious
This is probably the best "Actually Me" GQ has ever produced
2:28 ".....this fear of being traded" LMAO HE'S TOO REAL FOR THIS HAHAHAHA
That's LeGM for you
yes network is blessed with such a crew
"There's always this little fear that if I don't play well then Lebron is gonna trade me, which is TRUE" Bruh hahaha
I appreciate that they let him curse. It flowed well and didn’t feel like he forced it out to be funny
This is the best GQ video y’all ever created
Man, he was super honest about LeBron and Steph question usually players pick their sides or are afraid to say something bad. Kudos to RJ👍👍
We need more honest and straightforward individuals who speak their mind and do not sugarcoat
"Compare me to Kendrick Perkins, I was a f*cking god." This was true. Carry on.
Why was this really the best one of these
"Jerk" that sounded like it got real feelings to it lol
I pity the person typing while Richard raps out his answers
This is hands down the best episode 😂😂
BEST EPISODE BY FAR I NEED 100 MORE RJ EPs
Its so confident and honest that idk if he is being sarcastic or not
He seems like a fun friend to be around !
and he has got all the personality of media industry entertainer ~
as a cavs fan i gained alot of respect for richard jefferson. i like his honest style. but also his leadership on the court is amazing, good role model.
His greatest quip happened while he was announcing the first nets Cavs playoff game and a fan threw a drink at a player, “He thought he might go to Coachella, but now he’s gonna spend the weekend in county instead” I was dying laughing.
RJ and Kendrick Perkins are hilarious together. Never change.
bro just says whatever comes to mind😭
Love this guy especially when he's trolling.
first time i feel he really trys to be totally honest and he is still funny - respekt
Everyone I know loves rj and his commentary
Bruh that GM piece had me crack
Man is so funny and charismatic it’s ok for him to have all the wrong opinions
I love how him being an analyst made him better at talking to the point and speaking his mind and hearing him swear was hilarious
RJ was a borderline all-star at best, a solid starter at the 3 for sure. I think his best year was 2005.
I say his best year was in 2008.
@@Doknot-tb9ey I think 2007
Nope...2001. Bear Down
That lebron joke was amazing
If I don’t play well he’s gonna trade me 😭
Many fans don't know but RJ has crazy bunnies, dude can jump over the statue of liberty.
07-08 he actually led the Nets in scoring too.
Thought I guess it's hard to get all-star spot back then as a 3.
This was the best GQ actually me ever
There’s nothing better than reading the amount of people who are just seeing this goat for the first time! One of the best story tellers ever PERIOD go check out his episode of no chill gill def became a big fan of RJ after that
2:06 that f bomb came outta nowhere 😂
dude i love richard jefferson my favorite part of YES broadcasts please never change
Richard Jefferson is the black Ryan Reynolds
straight savage mode all episode
The best part is how if he didn’t play well with lebron, that LEBRON would have traded him 😭
RJ: *Afraid of LeBron
Also him: "I'm glad I won a championship with that IDIOT"😂
Bro he’s wayyyy to real lmao give this man a comedy special
rj was like walmart vince when he was with the nets, he was pretty good
This is the best "Actually Me" 👍🏼🤣
My favorite player for years because I am a life long nets fan
RJ is one of the best personalities in the NBA and I’m glad he’s finally getting noticed
I always got Richard's humor and he's good for tv
I would watch 6 hours of this content and love every second.
RJ is the most hilarious troll to ever exist
This dude is hilarious. Such a good personality
Man i love this guy, super entertaining
Most likeable guy in the universe, that happened to be a great NBA player too.
I could listen to RJ talk abt basketball for a long time. He’s so entertaining
Hilarious! 😂😂
I dont understand why this hasnt reached 1M views yet
I was a big fan of the new jersey team when he played with kidd, kenyon and all those guys.
and he is too funny. love him as a commentator.
Richard Jefferson and Alex Rodriguez have the exact same voice 😂
I used to hate this guy when he played against my warriors but now i love this guy. Has to be the funniest analyst / commentator out there
Love the self-awareness
This was....surprisingly good!
