Shame HCPI didnt bring the other variants here in the PH. Nonetheless, wala e, pogi talaga hatchback ni honda. The price increase to me is acceptable considering the addition of the honda sensing. Also , its still cheaper than the hatchback of mazda. Overall this is a great car. As long as single ka at hindi nag go-grocery ng madami without compromising the rear passengers😊
The Sonet does offer quite the compelling value especially compared to the likes of the City Hatch, but I do have a video explaining why a hatchback might be what other people would prefer a car more low to the ground. But yes, I understand that the Sonet and other crossover SUVs in the same price segment might make more sense to some people! -Roy
Pick and moan about ground clearance issues. Ground clearance isn't really an issue with a garage of other vehicles to choose from. Ground clearance is an issue if it's the only vehicle one has. I like the City RS H/B, not so much the sedan. It would make a nice little city errand car.
correct. i have this car (pre mmc city hb) and it takes me to all the same places that my crossover did, but w/ better fuel economy. if i need to go off the road i take the jimny jb74
yeah, I just changed my mags and tires to 17s and slap on some lowering springs and it's already a looker on the streets 😆 considering it's kinda rare in ph roads
You’re correct. That’s approching the crossover space, however and at that point the HR-V comes to mind! There are still some people out there who would rather get a low-slung hatch over an SUV - Roy
you sound like you had a hard time saying positive things about it... as most of it are the same from the pre-facelift HB. And im sure its because there's barely anything new besides ADAS for the price.. disappointing from honda that they didnt bring the hybrid here, or at least add better brakes, or an electronic parking brake
I agree, in fact I've been hounding Honda to bring in a City Hatch with a different drive train. The Hybrid or the 1-liter turbo comes to mind. I still absolutely love the City Hatch, though and the fact that we've got around 4 videos on the car in the channel points to that lol! I just wanted to hold off on all judgement until I can drive it out in the real world! -Roy
The Mazda 2 might have a more difficult time comparing itself to the City due to space limitations, price, the fact that it's a few generations behind and the lack of ADAS. I would have to say that whatever it lacks in the above it more than makes up for it in driving dynamics and handling! :-) -Roy
That’s what I’ve been begging Honda PH for the longest time! Bring us the Turbo or maybe the hybrid for the City hatch! A longer test with this will see how it works out. - Roy
I really want this, if only for the Honda Sensing. It's just priced slightly higher than the base automatic trim of BRV-S.
And that Type-R grey color is just 😗 -Roy
Gonna pick up this beautiful badboy tomorrow. A gift for my self after my gf broke up with me. 😂😂😂😂
🔥🔥🔥

This or the mazda 2 hatchback sport?
sobrang pogi ng hatchback
I'm definitely looking forward to have this one haha. Thanks for the excellent review!👍👍🤞
CVT transmissions are not repairable, they are disposable and very expensive to replace.
May relax mode hehe
Still, I wish it had a MT. Audio of this video has some issues but still great review Roy.
A base manual, 1.5-liter sohc, vtec honda hatch… that would be the dream! - Roy
@@ZigWheelsPhilippines and I also think it will sell. Even it will be a base model.
Audi Vibe! Well played HONDA!!!
What about graund clearance???
IMO, for the price I'd get a Kia Sonet SX. Crossover with higher ground clearance for our stupid floody roads..
True

agree
If you are complaining about floods, then you should buy a house in a high altitude area before buying a car.
@@CeejaaySnow Spoken like a true dick.. So floods and poor roads are nothing to complain about? Sure manure!! 🤏😂🤣😆
I would really love to see this in white!! ❤️
Yoooow a panda/stormtrooper themed city hatch would be siccckkk!!! - Roy

1.5 turbo, better brakes, and manual transmission for the city hb would be a dream! cmon honda!
sad that my city hatch is now called "City Hatchback pre MMC" 🤣
I felt the exact same thing with my ancient Honda Civic! You still have a good one, though! - Roy
yeah, I just changed my mags and tires to 17s and slap on some lowering springs and it's already a looker on the streets 😆 considering it's kinda rare in ph roads
134mm of ground clearance is not acceptable in our area. If only they made it 160mm....

Still drum brake, why?

The host looks like the comedian.
they should stop using CVT and add turbo
