I got 34 mpg-ish with mine on the highway, i can do 460 miles when driven in hybrid/confort mode, more than enough to fill a bladder. Overall, as i plug it every day and drive it in electric mode in all my daily drive around town, i got 75 mpg (in 14000 miles done with it). Best distance i have in electric mode is 32 miles in summer, 22 in winter. Sports mode is hugely enjoyable, but yes, it make the car very thirsty, it's not a sports car though, the chassis is excellent and the suspensions are well suited for it, but it's not meant to be driven hard all the time. I'm very satisfied with it, fast, good looking, practical, comfy and well equiped, you may have the same with other car manufacturers, but not for that price.
Completely agree I haven't even got one and it's easy to see coming from a bmw owner... my 330e would have been the same price new and I don't even have electric seats. This peugeot has every bit of kit imaginable, looks amazing, is quick and relatively economical for a 300 plus hp car. Want one a lot!
Such a shame you can't get the 1.6 petrol anymore in the 508. The 1.2 engine is too weedy, and the PHEV adds 300kg to a surprisingly-light car and makes it a bit worse in basically every respect. The pre-facelift was better looking too. Amazing used buy, great value.
@@DontPanicDear Absolutely. Fang lights are lovely. Can get a good spec (GT Line or higher) 1.6 petrol for £16k ish now, at most. Outstanding value for a great car.
I do like Pug's quirkiness -- and they're comfortable, and nice interiors. I have a couple of friends with a 308 and 208, and they report both cars have been really reliable.
I clearly need to watch again. Was focusing on that finger plaster steadily escaping, potentially into a more purchasable car! On that note...can you please get your ass onto the GS1300 as I'm v tempted. Interested to hear your view before I sample the free coffee and more than likely walk out of the showroom 20k lighter! Great vid as always Tim.
I had an exciting afternoon, spotting a Tim Rodie AND a 508SW in the space of 10mins 👀 I hoped these would be more seamlessly integrated. I wish they’d make calm, compliant and cosseting, rather than trying to be sporty. In BMW parlance, perhaps making these less M and a little more Alpina.
I looked very briefly at one of these, but my lanky frame meant when I was in it only one person of average size could fit in the back. So useless really to a family of five
Slammed my front door, finger slipped and got sliced open by my brass door-closing thingamabob. Blood everywhere, much to the delight of my 5 year old daughter, who LOVES gore. Oh dear.
See! You don't need to be childish and silly to make interesting and amusing videos like... you all know who! Great vid (it's been ages since I said that last).
@@TimRodieDrivesStuff I sat in one of these 508s when I was at a car supermarket doing a bit of scouting for what my Dad’s next car was going to be, and I bumped my head getting in and out, and I’m only just over 6 foot.

You’re not being fair! You drive it like mad and expect a good range! 🤔 In fact you prefer the old-fashioned way of a good V6 which is bad on petrol and much taxed! Its time you moved to the 21st century!
Ooh angry people. I drive my M340i xDrive relatively briskly and get well over 30mpg average. The correct view here, if you’re open to a little education, is that a smaller harder worked engine will often be less fuel efficient then a larger lustier unit asked to perform similar duties.

Forget the so called flaws, its one of the best looking cars on the road today, and a rare sight.
I nearly brought one of these till i sat in one at 6ft 3 i couldnt get the children behind my driver's seat, great channel, love your videos.
From one 6'3" person to another, thank you!
They should give it the 2.0l Hurricane, that several other Stellantis uses.
I drive this car and it is better than a BMW 3 M. Cheers Peter
Nice review. Like how you include range on a full tank of fuel - many reviewers omit that. Any chance you could do the new RX500h?

Definitely agree with the above, the original is definitely better looking.
I don't know what Peugeot were thinking with this facelift.
I guess that you are saying that an Octavia estate VRS could be a better bet ….
Tim: 'Thank you very much Dogman.'
That had me rolling 🤣🤣🤣

Another excellent video. The only honest review channel now that Mark Nichols isn’t in front of a camera any longer 😢
I have no idea how that interior can not feel refined, maybe that is the lowest trim level though
Cool lookimg wagon, shame it seems more like a good in theory but not in real life kind of car
i would take the 508 anyday over the any German boring looking car just for the looks alone
Tim, Great video. Voiture eccentrique ou non? Can't make its mind up on a lot of issues.

I'm getting the GS next week! Thanks for watching both channels... that finger plaster was the result of shutting my front door incorrectly somehow!
Was that plaster? I though it was a ring and I was trying to see if he was wearing an equally stylish earing to match it. LOL

The brake discs will cost you 2.5-3k to replace. Had the same on my 308 gti, only last about 8000 miles if you drive it enthusiastically
Braking = Fear 😂
Tim, could "Fast but Flawed" sort of apply to you ? :) Ride on Rodie !
The plaster…..that worried more than a £55K Peugeot….

22 MPG is the same I get from my E39 Alpina 3.3 driving round town.
I think I'd have an E39 any day of the week. I reckon I got more out of an E39 M5 when I borrowed BMW's one.

I've seen only one out there on the roads but I was in Paris! It may be fast but that's an awful lot of money for a Peugeot.
Yet still better value for money than the top German manufacturers
