I love watching these episodes now because I was too young in the 50's. He truly was a great actor that did all of own stunts and the lesson you learn is worth the watch.
I 'love' the Alaskan Malemute! They're big beautiful dogs! The Sgt. Preston TV show was where I first learned about the Alaskan Malemute. As much as I love the Malemute, they're just too much dog for me to keep in my current apartment, at my age. (65 years!)
I watched these on the telly in the 1950's when I was a little boy. How beautiful in color! People like this were our role models in those days. Did you hear the older RCMP man praying a psalm and then immediately help arrived? They wouldn't be allowed to do that now. Saturday morning (and most other times) TV was like that - good, and wholesome and SANE! It's utter and total garbage now.
I have to agree 'POLITICALLY CORRECT IS THE DOWNFALL OF AMERICA" Say what you mean "IF IT ALLOWED" Comply with the new rule? Like pepper! it B black, it B white! It is still pepper..... We have lost Merry Christmas!, School Pledge of allegiance, Frikin pirets in the Disneyland now chase Food instead of women! America has no one too blame but themselves! You VOTED IT IN? ALLOWED IT TOO HAPPEN...... I ONLY CARE FOR THE SHIT IN MY YARD. THEY WANT YOU GUN PHHHHT WHO CARE?
We are so blessed to have grown up during the Fabulous Fifties enjoying classic films/television productions such as this series. Learning right from wrong portrayed by talented actors able to project the storyline properly, molded us in the correct direction as well balanced adults. Di🎵
don't mess with preston he is the john wayne of the yukon! great show thanks for the upload this show was before my time and i love it they don't make shows even close to these today!
One of my all-time favorite series. I wish these videos were available for watch parties on Facebook. I'm a co-admin of the Facebook group called Sergeant Preston of the Yukon, and I'd love to share these episodes during watch parties.
My grama used this, Hopalong Cassidy, Roy Rogers... As amo against bad grades Bad attidude Bad finished chores And she made up stuff to hold over our heads. Hahahaha It worked.we were SO HAPPY our teachers loved her. The radio showes came first. Oh And if we got in enough trouble to miss these shows ABSOULTLY no Saturday cartoons. It was a double whammy. We got gold ribbons in school for accomishments and attitudes. Hahahaha Then, in the 60s My cousin let me help him with chores in the barn at night on Fridays and Saturdays and he turned me onto WOLFMAN JACK am station on his new transistor radio he got for his birthday. Grama let us do it. Pap made her let us. I miss them so much.
Sgt. Preston I say the Elliot Ness of the Mounties. If Capone would went against Preston,I don't think Al wouldn't have a chance. King would crew Frank Nitti booty for lunch and dinner. Ha ha 🙂

How well I remember this good show when I was a little kid in the 1950's.
My favorite Sgt. Preston episode. Dick Simmons was a great actor.
Good vintage tv. Thank you
I love how when there is a snowstorm, the sound of the hard blowing wind is so prominent and yet the trees in the background are completely still.
And the sun is shining.
That is the beginning of TV. We did not watch closely. We were just kids.
No one of the 2000, seem to be watching (We are)
Oh Lord.....who cares?
don't mess with preston

There are some, who might be inclined to say that "John Wayne, was the 'Sgt. Preston', of the American West."
More like the Canadian Elliot Ness
More like Canada's Elliot Ness than John Wayne with Due Respect for the Duke!

Vic Perrin - one my all-time favorites, on the narration
Sad thing is the lost patrol actually died out there. They are buried in Fort Mcpherson.
Originally telecast on October 18, 1956.
July 2, 2017 - in honor of Canada's sesquicentennial!

I was just a young girl back then but Preston is still handsome and King is smart too
0:02- "THE QUAKER OATS COMPANY presents..............."
Each episode appears to have a different director. Any reason for that??
I'm a bit much too young for this. Honestly, I found out about this show while reading The Dark Tower Series.
Jake Q funny thing I too ran into this show on knx tv listening while reading the dark tower series too.
@@alexlopez969 Same reason I listened to Velcro Fly by ZZ Top. The comments there are gold too.
