Mirror, Mirror, for me, is a song that does not age. Everytime I listen to this song, it always give me this feeling that this song was just made yesterday coming fresh from the recording studio where in , truth is, it is even older than a young teenager out there. I mean, this song is just timeless.

The fun fact: In the beginning they were looking for another singer, because he was not satisfied with his voice.... but they could not find anybody who could sing the songs with the passion, that Hansi got.

Fantastic song, with cut parts, though. I love so much Nightfall in Middle Earth, one of the best albums based on Tolkien's Silmarillion. I love this band since i was 16 years old, both Somewhere far Beyond and Nightfall in Middle Earth are my favourite albums from Blind Guardian.
Listening to BG since 2000 and I have never seen this video. Killer! You guys are great people and make awesome music.

Imo it's about Noldors who left the Valinor to seek revenge on Melkor who stole their Silmarils and killed Finwe - Feanor's Father. :D Feanor swore that he will get the Silmarils back and brought doom on his people. Brings back great memories! Learned to play guitar thanks to Blind Guardian songs, trying to figuring out the solos and leads. This song being one of the first! Awesome music!
Love these videos that are not really shot for a song video, but a collection of raw clips from the band's life (studio, road, etc). It's more personal than any "commercial" video could ever be. And Hansi's expressions are to die for. He was such a young goof & cutie here. Just want to pinch those cheeks, heh.

That's the secret of Blind Guardians Appeal, they are such down to earth adorable good natured lads, that care passionately about their music - and are very good at it. A perfect mix that results in one of the best bands out there. ( and Yes, Hansi was, and still is, a goofiest cutie that ever was :))
Andre and Marcus aren't really big shredders. They're both great, I prefer Marcus. But I wouldn't call them power metal virtuosos.
