Hi I use my own blend of painting medium to paint with. The china must be kiln fired when using these paints and this method. The paint is fused into the glaze of the china, so no it will not wash off. All of the oil, (both the mixing medium and the painting medium) burns off in the kiln long before the paints mature at roughly 1400F. They have no effect on how durable the paint is. Your firing temperature, time in the kiln, along with the hardness of the glaze determine durability. You can find my painting supplies including the painting medium here: artisticromantic.com/collections/supplies-from-me
Thanks so much
You're welcome! Happy to help

@@ktpeony1614 I mix the powder with heavy mineral oil. I thin the paint when painting with my painting medium on the brush.
Hello, What oil are you using to blend with? And does mixing with oil affect the ability to wash the china? Thanks
