    Very nice. One question I have: why take so much care with the centre of the flower, when you have to clean it up and re-paint it? And couldn't you also just use the wipe off tool for the petals? I'm not a China painter myself but I do make ceramic Figurines and wanted to paint them. So I'm looking at techniques. I like your painting very much. 😊

      Hi thank you. I like to have the yellow already established so that when and if the dark background gets into it it is easier to remove it with paint already on the porcelain. For wiping out the paint, yes you can use a wipe out tool, but it will leave a heavy build up of paint on the edges of the petals and won't leave the nice striations. The wipe out tool will also take off too much paint for the other flowers in the painting that won't be as white as the main flower that is on top. It is easier to get a variation of tones with your brush.
