➡️ How to Apply
Through Embassy - You can submit your application to the nearest VFS center and get a Thailand visa for up to 2 months.
Visa on Arrival - If you don't want the hassle of VFS, then you can always opt for the Visa on Arrival facility that allows Indians to stay up to 15 days in Thailand.
Note: From October 2022 to March 2023, Thailand is issuing 30 days visa for Visa on Arrival candidates. So, you can stay for 30 days instead of 15 days if you opt for VOA.
➡️ Documents Required for Sticker Visa
- Passport with 6 months validity and 2 blank pages.
- Two passport-sized photographs sized 3.5 * 4.5 cm
- Confirmed Return Flight tickets
- Confirmed hotel booking vouchers
- ITR/Salary Slips/Business License to show proof of employment (Optional)
Note: They accept only colored printouts of flight tickets and hotel booking vouchers.

Hi Rachita, Are the documents required different from Visa on Arrival/e Visa, or are they the same? Also, if I plan to go in September, can I apply for a sticker Visa in July? Basically, there will be a 2 months gap between the visa application and the actual date of travel.
Visa on arrival, you just need to show flights and hotels and pay the visa fee in Baht. For sticker visa, bank statements and all are required too but visa fee is less and in INR. You can apply in July as well for September trip, just make sure to apply for within 2 months of your trip.

You will have to show accommodation confirmation for the period of flight bookings that you are showing. Whether it be 1 week or 3 months. So really depends on what flights are you showing in your visa application. Also, max stay on your visa will be 60 days. After that, you will have to get an extension if you wish to stay longer.

If you show your friend inviting you, you ll need to show the invitation letter, his residency permit or equivalent and his bank statements. This is in addition to the basic documents that you will need to submit, you ll find that list in the description.

Hi Rachita, firstly, thanks for making an insightful video to apply the visa. I wish to apply for this visa, and wish to stay in Thailand for about 50 days. But i am afraid to give my 50 days itinerary to the embassy though the stay duration validity is for 60 days, still i think that telling them that i am gonna stay for that many days may make them deny my visa. So, would it be okay to give them the itinerary that is less than 20 days or so, will i still be getting the 60 days stay duration on an itinerary of 20 days ? Would really appreciate your response 🙏
Cannot say honestly. I showed bookings for the entire 60 days period so it’s not that big a deal. Alternatively, you can show them 35 days booking, that way it would be just over 1 month mark so they should give you 2 month visa and you won’t show too long stay also.

Hello, I will be travelling to Thailand in December, I have booked my flight tickets(Entry and Exit) and confirmed hotel tickets for (Bangkok and Phuket), wanted to know that at immigration, will they ask me how will I go from Bangkok To Phuket? because I am thinking to take local transport by reaching there only. Nope. They won't ask that. They just ask you to show confirmed hotels and flight tickets. If they somehow do ask, you can say you will use a bus from Bangkok and that you will book it from the bus station.

You can show 1 cover letter mentioning both you and your wife’s details.
Yes, please show both of your bank statements with minimum 700 USD each.
And no biometrics is not collected, only documents are to be submitted and visa fee to be paid.

Since Visa on arrival is for 30 days now.
If anyone wants to stay for maximum days through this visa then the Return Ticket should be for which day 29th day or 30th day ?
Do it for 29th and keep 1 day as buffer because sometimes flights can get delayed or anything can happen so you don't want to end up in such a situation where your visa is expiring in a couple of hours 😅

I’m on a tight schedule and wanted to know if I submit on Friday and traveling on Saturday the following week, will it be enough time? Fully vaccinated is enough. Although they might not ask you to show it anymore, just flight people might ask.

Nothing mentioned as such but filling by pen makes it easier to see the details and differentiation content from the form.

On the other hand if you have sticker visa and opt for multiple entry, you can visit multiple times in a 2-month period.

My passport validity is expiring in July, and I am planning to visit Thailand in April on VOA, most of the places it says passport should have more than 6 months validity, your description says 30/60 days, I am really confused. Please clarify.
That is only if you are applying for visa on arrival. Please refer to this link:

But I would suggest ke you renew your passport because you never know about immigration and people might reject you entry so it’s better to be safe than sorry. I personally would never visit with a passport that has less than 6 months validity.

Sticker visa you can get from embassy in your country only. It’s not available on airport.

we have only 2 hours gap from dmk airport to board the other flight to krabi and have to opt for visa on arrival on 26th dec 2022...so is it going to be risky due to time constraint?
Definitely. Generally it takes only 15 minutes for VOA but you don't know what could happen.

You need to get the statement attested from the bank. As for maintaining balance, I always had 3 lakhs in the account. But you just need to show you have 60k in your account or if you have FDs and all, you can show that too. :)

I had visited Thailand in December 2019 had good time in Pattaya Chonburi.
Came from Banghkok Swarnbhumi Airport by bus 🚌..approx 2 hours.
Stayed there near to Jomitin Beach in a guest house.

I booked dummy tickets from ticket reservations.com. There are many other websites as well that you can use or if you get fully refundable tickets, that’s always an option :)
