You know, my gran knitted a purple and white one of these for me years ago, and I was always fascinated how she'd done it, unfortunately I never got the chance to ask her. So now you have solved a 20 year mystery, thank you so much! :)
I just finished making this scarf, and I love it! I made it out of the yarn I used to make my grand dog's sweater so he and his mama can match! Your video is great along with the pattern, which I purchased. Thank you!
thanks really i'm just a begainer learn 5 weeks ago and i do your pattern it comes supper cool and like all my friends ,wish i can show you the pic thx again 😊
@FASHIONADDICT12 No - the knit stitch looks like a "v", and the purl stitch looks like it has a little scarf around it's neck. I explain the difference in this video at about 5:10.
Do you have a crochet pattern? My mom has been wanting one of these, I knitted one years ago but I am no knitter. I prefer crochet. It would be helpful. Thanks
Sorry - this video is a few years old, and I don't have one knit up here to measure (I've sent them off to my family in Alaska!), but hopefully you can get a good idea by the photo.
In my opinion, the amount of time you've been knitting has less to do with your skill level than the challenges you've encountered. If you're confident with knitting and purling and you get good tension, and you have some experience with reading patterns - I would call you an intermediate knitter. Those skills are, at least, enough to work through my intermediate patterns that include video tutorials. I'm always here to help if you ever have questions with my tutorials.

How many people's jaw dropped when the needle was taken out? This happens to me on accident as a beginner and I'm panicking to get everything back in place!
Hi Staci I am having a problem with the pattern. It is not shown on the vidoe so I am at a loss. I get the STRAIGHT SECTION, but then I get lot at the DECREASE SECTION. ssk slip slip knit in pattern. (the pattern in the STRAIGHT SECTION)?
+Cheryl Robinson - I'm not sure if you're receiving my replies. Please email me at staci@verypink.com if you have specific questions about the pattern. Thanks
Never mind I think I got it to me what look like first work on row 2 from straight section, and then last 2 sts (ssk for k2tog ) one more time.??? Equal 11 sts it is correct???

Johanna Mazzei - you can probably find a similar pattern in crochet on Ravelry, but no - I don't have a crochet pattern for this design. Just knit.
