Hi, I have a question, what is the MCU for and did you play any new versions? have you only changed the firmware itself?
Did you manage to set up the audio so that the periphery sounds and the bass is not that heavy?

You mention 2 versions in this video, the older one which you have, and "the newer one". Is this just a software revision or hardware?
Your original install was with the 'EW-BMCP-NBT01A' from AliExpress. Is this still the one to get?
Thanks for the instruction, just updated mine. A few months ago the system cannot find my phone, issue remains in the new revision, Ben have you experienced it? and I also noticed service info. is blank, even the tachometer has service overdue sign. I followed your installation video, just curious if you experienced the same?
Hi Ben, any idea why my version v2.1.0.8.rj.b isn't listed, and, besides, 2863 PIN doesn't work if I wanted to try upgarding to any of these listed versions?
What about integrating new OS in older 8'8" screens?
Do you plug the flash drive into the cars USB port or the USB camera usb port

Nice video thanks. Also when on idrive screen when you go to aux and click 2 times it takes you to a volume control. By factory it is set to 0. I put mine at 12 and the carplay is really loud now. Never knew there was a aux volume.
I drive screen on the phone or car?
@@johnhorton1012 on the car. Using the control nob. Keep clicking and ut will take you to a volume screen
Hey Ben. Did you have any issues connecting to BimmerCode after you installed the CarPlay unit? After I installed my CarPlay unit in my 2015 F56, I tried to open up the BimmerCode app to make some adjustments to my lights, but I received an error message at 12% when the app was connecting to my mini. Let me know if you have any ideas for workarounds.

Hey 👋 the pin should be the same as the one I used. If not it should be on the forum linked in the description

Do you have Bluetooth switched off on the stock idrive system?
Yeah, my phone isn’t connected to the idrive Bluetooth anymore
@@BenRolfe cheers for the reply. So if you are listening to DAB (for example) through the idrive. Does the system switch to carplay when the phone rings.

Hi, I fixed my car box it was working fine after 15 it went off, when I press menu button it shows screen no signal can you help me. thanks
I fitted mine and tried apple car play which worked and then I went to screen mirror my iPhone but then it froze and ever since When I hold menu nothing happens

Unfortunately not, only though the USB on the CarPlay box.

Luckily for me I already have a fairly recent version and therefore not have the courage to disassemble the dashboard to access the mmi box lol

Yours is the Carlinkit version. You can update to v9.2.9.yl.b and your pin is 4091. This is near the bottom of the updates on the forum.
@@BenRolfe yeah I found it thanks. Just hate that it doesn't do auto night anymore. Looking like I might have to flash the mcu to bimmer would fix it.
Hey Ben, unfortunately, this does not fix the AA night auto switch. I'm going to switch over to the Universal flasher for the Mini. Wish me luck I don't brick it.
