Thank you very much. I am very happy that you like it. Unfortunately, I have very little time to continue working on it. I would like to, but currently I can't.
I think what makes this real is: The change of the texture. How the sphere’s surface remains wet after impact for a prolonged time, and all the little water drops that form after the impact, running down the surface. Plus the masterful shading and lighting, this really comes togheter as a amazing piece. Will you make a tutorial for this in the near future?
GREAT RENDER I have been using blender for a while and cannot get something to look this good, I use depth of field and all that stuff, I ca get something that looks great, but too clean, but this seems IMPOSSIBLE, teach me your ways oh fellow cg nerd
Have you thought of adding foam to it it’s not too hard it’s not just clicking the foam button you have to also make a thing and parent it or something
Thank you very much! Yes, some moving parts would be nice. I think the new geometry nodes can solve this problem. Some fake „simulation“ of sand that is moved by the water using force fields or such … yes!
Swagin It's an old computer with an intel core i7 4790 and 32 GB of RAM. Calculating the simulation took forever. But of course rendering was pretty quick with the RTX 2070 S.
The drying of the middle rock was absolute chef’s kiss
i'm not sure if the lightning or the wetmaps, but this is one of the best fluid sims i've seen on youtube, it looks amazing

No joke, this looks absolutely REAL.
AWESOME water simulation! lovely lighting mate!!!
THAT LOOKS REAL
Looks amazing!
this is fabulous. I've been working with flipfluids but haven't graduated to wetmaps yet

Looks so nice and satisfying that I watched it too many times lol. What's your FLIP ratio at? What about surface tension?
You : asking
Him : liked and loved it
Me : WTF
@@fadhil4008 LOL I don't know why people don't answer but still acknowledge the comment 😂
REALLY realistic
Only thing missing is the bubbles
Great work, wetmaps are the pain in the ass indeed
You should try making the sand smoother instead of just darker when wet. Still, really realistic!

Kinda looks like the water isnt soaking in but more of falling slowly. Also can you make the rocks move a little next time?
That's wetness effect looks realistic
Awesome!!
i can't understand why but all water physic what maded in blender looks a bit not relistic
It's nice but it's still weird without erosion, uncanny valley :)
cool

😊
wow
Can you share the .blend ?
We'll reach a point in the future where we can't tell the difference between real and fake lol
the sand ia good is use displacement? it look very high detail
Thank you. No displacement was used. The sand consists of a small sphere as part of a particle system.
it's Mean the sand is partikel, right?
@@lgoritme Yes, the sand is a particle system.
@@hanswillemstuermer thank's for the info
Finally!!!😄👍
I think this looks cool but it seems off that nothing moves. I know its not possible to make it move but it would be really nice if it did.

I... I hear the sound!
tutorial please!
How??
how much time you render this?
It took about nine hours.
@@hanswillemstuermer tell please what pc specs do you have?

@@Areandres3D Stimmt. Das Ganze kostet fürchterlich viel Zeit. Spaß macht‘s aber trotzdem. :)
I still bevel cube..
The problem is nothing gets wet. Nothing looks wet after being hit by the water.
It literally does tho. Try watching the video again in higher quality if you can't see it.
