The kia stinger wasnt a long term car. It was a test mule. A car made for public reaction and review. After few years on sale. They are offloading the stinger to the hyundai genesis sports sedan performance car. Basically they putting the stinger into the genesis brand to compete with the bmw performance sedans. Thats the reason for the stopping of the kia stinger production. Noone will spend 2x the price of a stinger genesis form same engine, same chassis.
also that twin Turbo V6 only accelerates half the speed of a truck from the 1990's with a V6 and no turbos, if that's 0-60 in 4.5 seconds, I drove a truck that accelerated in 8 seconds flat with no turbos and a V6 from the 1990's.
I lost this jewel, had I seen this video before I would have bought it. It's exactly how I want it! If anyone knows of a 2023 AWD in this color and with very few miles…🤙
a twin turbo V6 and does about 165ish, a '67 Mustang Fastback didn't even have Turbos and neither did a '69 Charger, so your twin turbo V6 in a plastic car can get about 30 mph faster than a stock Muscle car from the 1960's with no turbos, all steel and bigger engine and is only 2WD, but it's only really any faster than a Truck with a 4L V6 that has no turbos and isn't made of plastic, it might have some plastic, but that's only for the Bumper panels and the interior.
For the price this car is 9/10 ...why not 10/10?? Due to poor exhaust note. Only if it had better exhaust this car is perfection. ❤ still this over Audi S4, BMW 340 or C43...15,000$ savings is great deal
Look I own A 2022 Hyundai Sonata N-Line so I'm pretty much "Team Hyundai/Kia" but $57,000 for a KIA is just absurd. I could give 2 sh**'s about the specs, this is just a few grand from buying a Porsche Cayman. And yes this may be quicker but it's not even in the same stratosphere as even an entry level Porsche. FO KIA.
I dont get this? they aren't even competing cars one is a coupe the other is a very much family sedan with speed that still beats out the porsche cayman for quite a bit less. This is the TOP of the Kia stinger and its still almost 12k less than a base porsche cayman that also has terrible upkeep and dependability cost.
Would be nice to see reviews by people inside the business. Most car rebiews done by journalist in car business yet no real industry insight. New everything is great. How do these expensive cars hold up after 5 yrs of real world abuse. Inknow honda and toyota make great cars, see few 5 to 8 yr old kia or hyundais reselling for decent price, if you can find one thatnild still working
I think too many people get caught up in the looks of the Stinger(as far as the ugly side reflector just get a piece of vinyl that matches your color and apply it. Doesnt even take 10 min for both sides) will make the car look better Disclaimer: do it at your own risk because the refector is there to make it DOT compliant, and if you cover it then it wont be. I had the 2022 GT2 Stinger and it suffered from a blown head gasket. Its not just the 3.3 V6 its also the 2.5 4-cylinder models. Sad to say but Stingers have cooling system issues and Kia has yet to resolve them. The dealer makes excuses about long wait for recall parts and also varius parts to do repair under warranty. Went to dealer twice already. First time it was fixed, second time it was fixed again and it happened not even 2 months after the repair. Talked to a couple Stinger owners and 1 had same issue on his 2022 Stinger G1. Coincidentally the dealer service area had a Stinger on the lift and I asked a tech what was wrong with it out of curiosity, he said blown head gasket and fuel pump issue and that it was in for repair. I didnt wait for a third time and got rid of it. I think this is why they want to discontinue the Stinger so they can dump the name and go back to the drawing board. The Stinger reminds me of how Pontiac tried to bring back the GTO for 3 years and it failed and eventually Pontiac went with it. THINK TWICE before you get a Stinger, it wont look good sitting up on a lift while they give you a Kia Soul as a loaner.
So me and the wife bought a optima tgdi right after KIA spent all that money to revolutionize their tooling and manufacturing back in 2010. They should have made improvements to their vehicles longevity…that damned optima while expensive and pretty and damned fast…was the biggest piece of crap I’ve ever owned. The turbos in it failed not once not twice but three separate times. The entire cars paint started peeling and had to be completely repainted…the moonroof leaked so the entire headliner had to be replaced. The transmission had problems that they were never able to quite figure out…so they eventually bought the car back and put us in a new model in the exact same color with the same options…we had the same exact fucking issues out of the new one!
Easy Controllable Vents? Automobiles had those since the 1920's, well actually if you include Horse back riding, then well in that case since around 200 BC, maybe before that, come to think about it, they've had pretty easy to control vents during the Dark Ages with just an open window and Shutters. Sorry, I'm just continuing to watch it to see how else this 2023 KIA is Surpassing everybody else since the invention of transportation.
About 7 miles faster than my Kia GT-Line. I like the Stinger but for a A high performance model. Which is not as comfortable as my K5. Not to mention, I am not a huge fan of front end styling here. It is, however, no doubt a great car. Unfortunately, it was never fairly given its due respect. Hopefully, that will come in time though. If I had the cash I would love to add this to my collection! Great review!! :)

They put a Hole around the actual Tailpipe so the tailpipe can go through the rear plastic bumper panel? I'm not even impressed with seeing it on a 2002 Corvette and a Corvette is one of the Cars that actually does Impress me, Ferrari kind of impresses me also, Lamborghini, Dodge has ways of impressing me, Ford has ways of impressing me, I'm more Impressed by a Toyota Tundra driving down an already plowed blacktop road, calling that being more "RUGGED" than everybody else, except when I pull up next to them on my Huffy Bicycle that I have to pedal, manually and having Computer animated Spider truck Winch coming from it's front Grill Emblem than I am with KIA's Cartoon Rats talking shit about everybody that's not KIA.

So, how reliable are these kias ? I want one, but are they reliable?
I've heard almost nothing but good things (I'm looking at possibly getting one in the near future. I mean there are lemons out there just like any brand. But the vast majority of people who have these cars long term absolutely love them
This should have a digital display and and heads up display. And panoramic sunroof and it would be amazing.
It has a heads up display
We love our 2022 Kia Stinger GT2 twin turbo AWD! 👊🏼
Nice 2023 Kia Stinger GT2 Car
The stinger wants to be a bimmer so bad
Are all those vents fake or functional?
Only the hood and rear lower bumper are fake.
Can you review the 2.5 Stinger. Thanks
I’m getting one this week ⚡️😁🙏🏾
Is it true it’s getting disconnected?😢
Yes, stinger is getting disconnected from the outlet😢😢😢
@@KobeMpthers😂
They need to put the stinger badge again. Everybody loves the Stinger badge on my car. Unfortunately the l new KiA logo doesn't cut the mustard.
Cant get my head around the grille...my buddies suv has the same grille....still i would drjve that...
I lost this jewel, had I seen this video before I would have bought it. It's exactly how I want it! If anyone knows of a 2023 AWD in this color and with very few miles…🤙
Fantastic Review! It's also great to see that you fit "behind yourself" in the backseat.
Perfect daily driver
Might look good, but the quality is not up to par! I just wonder how easy it is to steal that one!
Yeah I would just buy a Lexus
It’s not a forte😂
Should have exclusive non Kia badges from the factory to set it apart.
Un excelente auto, lo tuve casi 2 años y lo vendi porque lamentablemente llamaba la atencion de delincuentes (encerronas en Chile).
Even Korea is making good cars now. Its really only America left that cant make a decent car with actual quality.
These aren’t quality bruh. Don’t believe the hype. These have all sorts of problems esp engines catching on fire
America makes great cars. Acura NSX built here, corvette, viper, Cadillac V a d so on
Where is Koreas super car? Where is their iconic cars like Mustang or Corvette?
The Kia stinger is one of the most reliable Kia's on the market. With the right mods, the stinger can hold its own with some performance cars.
@@rahimi4762 don’t call mustang an iconic if I see one every block. That’s tiring breh
a twin turbo V6 and does about 165ish, a '67 Mustang Fastback didn't even have Turbos and neither did a '69 Charger, so your twin turbo V6 in a plastic car can get about 30 mph faster than a stock Muscle car from the 1960's with no turbos, all steel and bigger engine and is only 2WD, but it's only really any faster than a Truck with a 4L V6 that has no turbos and isn't made of plastic, it might have some plastic, but that's only for the Bumper panels and the interior.
Ima repair a salvaged one
For the price this car is 9/10 ...why not 10/10??
Due to poor exhaust note. Only if it had better exhaust this car is perfection. ❤ still this over Audi S4, BMW 340 or C43...15,000$ savings is great deal
Kia could launch their electrified version of ioniq 6 & call it Stinger!!
No one would bat an eye.
It was too good for this world
Love these real world reviews, but I also miss your cats
Thank you! They usually pop into frame on my second channel - Bembli
Thanks for posting-just me but I really don't like red as an interior color. Cool car though.
The EV6 GT is even quicker, i heard they're working on a Stinger EV.
For the money, I'd still take the G70.
Beautiful sports sedan. But turbos have a bad habit of crapping out @ 60,000 miles. A supercharger is far more durable.
It that happens....no issue. Has a 100,000 mile warranty. These turbos are pretty solid and have seen no issues
Wish it came In manual
GT2 comes with paddle shift - no clutch but smooth operation
Doesn't matter how fast it can go.....there are speed limits for a reason.....where are you going to drive 165 mph?
Ur quite dense aren’t u
At a drag strip or track
Day 1 of asking you to make a 2022 version of a 1986 Oldsmobile custom cruiser
Easy Controllable Vents? Automobiles had those since the 1920's, well actually if you include Horse back riding, then well in that case since around 200 BC, maybe before that, come to think about it, they've had pretty easy to control vents during the Dark Ages with just an open window and Shutters. Sorry, I'm just continuing to watch it to see how else this 2023 KIA is Surpassing everybody else since the invention of transportation.
Sorry but Dogde already made the Charger. Making the Telluride was a better choice by KIA
I have a question, I am really researching into the k5 gt line because I am really in love with it because of the price the car is and what you get, so in your opinion what are some things you do not like about the car, I know all the good things but I wanna know the bad as well
A Kia K5 GTline has 180hp. This Kia Stinger GT2 has double the hp at 368hp. Huge difference.
It took an Audi designer to make Kia/Hyundai somewhat relevant, nice. I'd rather drive a Honda for its reliability to be quite honest.
In the 2022 J.D. Power Vehicle Dependability Study, Kia is #1, Buick #2, Hyundai #3, and Genesis #4 (also part of Hyundai/Kia). Honda #24 and Acura #28. I guess times have changed…
Honda has lost their edge in both design and reliability
You sound exactly like the TH-camr SamCar Legion
People prefer basic looking Mercedes and BMW’s they can’t afford than this absolute gem of a car
Discontinue will make Stinger classic car in 20 years
tank you but 56000 us for a Kia is way too much and you dont even have any status for that kind of car
I would get m340i for 56k
56k idk about that
It's a shame the gem is going away!!!
the back looks like maserati
Why is this guy talking like Elmer Fudd ?
I feel like the stinger should have end up looking like the K5. The look of the stinger isn't the best. The K5 looks great
Kia and Hyundai poached designers from the German auto houses. The Koreans gave them more free reign from a design standpoint.
It only took Korea a whole century, but congrats, I guess.
Toyota Camry is more durable and capable than this stinger.
A masterpiece, one of the best jewels to have…🤙
I will take my quadrifoglio instead
