    Please stay as you are and play the games to have fun. Always stay genuine and sincere, that's one reason I watch your games.
    Just a regular family guy, about 40, interested of learning and exploring. Just like myself, but from across 'some' water.
    Greetings from FIN.
    Good job.

      Nah, we need to progress too, don't we!?

      @@beorlingo Progress of the channel would be great, but being genuine is everything in life, for me.

    Our summer cottage is just 15-20 km from Pulkkilanharju, Asikkala. Approx 20 km north from Lahti. A very beautiful ridge area at Lake Päijänne.

    3:58 the correct term would be an esker or a ridge, not peninsula. The receding continental ice mass after the Ice Age has created eskers like that all over Finland. This location is part of the Päijänne National Park.
    5:15 the name of the waterway there was "Paskaniemenhauta" which translates to "Shit Peninsula's Grave" x)
    14:55 I've been to the northernmost point (which also the northernmost point of the EU as Norway is not a member). Not much to see on that exact spot but the landscapes in that region are magnificent, especially on the Norwegian side. The small Finnish village of Nuorgam on that border is very busy place with all the Norwegians coming to shop cheaper meats and alcohol on the Finnish side.

    Whenever you cross the Finnish-Swedish border by road, you must cross a border river, as well. That is not necessarily the case when crossing over to Norway.

    Got all the locations right, but missed perfect score due to misplaced marker on the second round. Fun map still, 24943 total score.
    @1:49 No German, but interestingly French and not so surprisingly Russian as the last one.

    Fun game. My times 29, 46, 47, 46 and 25 seconds, but I didn't get 5k on the second round where I am sure that the coordinates weren't accurate. I drove by that place last week :)
    In this game all locations were such that I have physically been there and because of that I recognized them immediately. Strong home ground advantage.

      Did KuPS advance though? I did notice they drew, but was that enough? Serious question upon "home games" mentioned.

    First location is where all of us Finns go, when Finland is mentioned outside of our borders. "Torilla tavataan" thing.

      @oh2mp ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Exactly. And that is the location of the greatest Finland meme ever, "torimies" you know :D

      I like how the Swedish Embassy is one of the cool places in Finland. I sure like to have an argument, but can't dispute that!

    Pre start of the vid: Heck, since I instantly resubbed upon your merely saying Ösogatan for Åsögatan recently, I reckon I'll have to watch a Finland game too.

    I do find it interesting how that initial sign is in Finnish, Swedish, English, French(?) and Russian (sic!), but not in German. I'm sure Mannerheim rotated one full 360 at least over that!

    It can be tricky to differentiate between Swedish and Norwegian for someone who doesn't speak a Scandinavian language, so I don't blame you for thinking the border was between Sweden and Finland 😄

    • @beorlingo
      @beorlingo ปีที่แล้ว

      Me neither! 🤪
      Fylke for shire/county is very Norwegian though. In Swedish it appears as the name for where the hobbits originate from, in the original translation by Ohlmarks. Other than that, these days close to not at all. Maybe, rarely, for some sort of "spelmanslag" or other retro cultural occurance.
      Not that you asked!
      Edit: I can't even vouch for that latter. But that's the connection I make.
      Btw, are you Finland Swedish? If so, do you still have "fylke"? Asking on account of you obviously being familiar with the Swedish language. Primarily assuming you were just a good student!

    • @JUMALATION1
      @JUMALATION1 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@beorlingo I'm Finland-Swedish, yes 😄 I have only heard the word fylke in LotR circumstances in Swedish, as the translation for the Shire. I guess the best Swedish word for it is landskap or län. 🤔
