Nice looking sheaths. Good to see you still kicking ass. I would suggest drain holes in the bottoms of the sheaths though to help prevent moisture on the blades inside. That damascus knife is just stunning

Glad to see you doing better in this one Erica. You look noticeably brighter and happier. In keeping with your mantra of “learn how to sharpen your knives” I’ve switched from using my Worksharp guided system to freehand sharpening on a dual grit Sharpal diamond stone and the results have been fantastic so far. Still learning and getting better but after watching Neeves Knives’ freehand intro sharpening video I am getting noticeably better results than I ever did on my worksharp. Thanks so much for your encouragement and for making knife maintenance seem doable even for a newb like me.

I heard a podcast with some leatherworkers that said you should never drill out your stitching holes because you remove material, and when you punch the holes with a pricking iron or awl you separate your material and make a stronger piece. I am not a leatherworker and I'm not a native english speaker so I hope you understand 😅

Good vibes incoming… Love those slips! I’m going to mess around with leather at some point (I want to make custom sheaths for some gardening tools that aren’t typically belt-carried). Let me know if you have any suggestions for inexpensive pricking irons… thinking I might just use a marking wheel and cordless drill to complete the holes.
Amazon has some cheap and good! I’ll have to check the name of mine!
Osborne makes excellent leather working tools. A .little pricey but they will last a lifetime. They have been making leather tools for a long time. Hope that helps.

Always lots of good vibes to you sis, when I get my Dart/Stinger hybrid you know I’ll be hitting you up for a slip. As far as the Dart and Splinter goes I’ll say this cuz I held them both when I visited you. Both are absolutely incredible! The Splinter has far superior ergos but the Dart is far better for pocket carry which as far as I understand was the intention of the design. For me the Dart would be a more EDC carry but the Splinter is more of a lightweight workhorse. Can’t go wrong with either, it’s just a matter of what you need.
