My mannnnnnnnn! You crushed this track. I love the sample delay trick - been using that myself too (since you showed me when we did our collab! LOL). And man the synth loop pitched up for last chorus is dope. Such a smart move.

I rarely get impressed by productions nowadays, they all sound the same except a few exceptions, you Forest, had a really fresh take and you managed to impress with different instruments that you made the best of too! this was amazing! love this so much. if I were to say what I'd like to see more of I guess it would be two things:
1. when you are using a plugin, it would be super helpful to mention a stock plugin or something affordable that beginners could get a similar effect with. (ex. could I use the stock pitch shifter instead of Soundshift by waves?) This would be extra cool to see.
2. more drumssss haha that percussion sounds SO GOOD in this song and I would love to learn more about your process. Will be searching on your channel for drum help!

Just found your channel and enjoy your sounds. I’m also a producer, songwriter, musician here in the Nashville area. I used to produce and record a lot of Christian music on the West Coast. Since moving to Nashville, I’m mostly working on Country/Rock and last few years some pop demo’s from all over the country and a few others. But, I have a question.
I’m mainly using drum samples. Some live drums. Everything else I’m playing. Guitars, keys, bass, mandolin, etc. I’m doing more pop lately, what percentage would you say you are using is organic instruments versus samples? And, what would be the the pro’s to using samples versus instruments.
I believe if it sounds good it is good. I like your stuff. Please keep pumping out the videos.

Yes. this idea was for Nathan Larsen's channel and his audience is on Logic. I thought I'd go with what his audience is familiar with. I'm in Studio One 5 mostly now.
For those who have a lot of experience, Can you tell whether music produced on a laptop can have the same quality as a big studio? I'm new to producing so I think my ear wouldn't able to tell the difference yet, Like in this video, The song sound really good to me, But as u see it is all done on a laptop!
