Sony did give incentives to gamers for being apart of it like giving them demos of exclusives to perform beta testing and what not. Sony did expect members to post in online forums to spread word of the new upcoming games to retain membership. It seemed to encourage gamers to give insight into the games as a voice from the gamers and possibly help devs back in the day to get early feedback on their games. Read up on it, pretty interesting.
When you bring truth and exposed them there always a light in the end of the tunnel. This chick exposed herself and capping for Xbox. Xbox is going to be a 3rd party publisher / developer and these Xbox fanboys are not seeing it.

I’m currently banned from comments on a game’s official club ( 4 day ban no big deal) but get this, the thing I asked the developers to change about the game they had already changed I just hadn’t noticed. So along comes the Xbox ambassador sees a criticism and bans the comment. If these ambassadors aren’t playing the game they’re not going to get it right. What part of the gaming community are they for? In actuality all they do is suppress free speech in order to level up their ambassador profile. I was going to buy a game this that gone out the window I just shut down the console and did something else.

This is sad. Like I have said many times before I am not a fan of the console wars whatsoever, but this isn't even about the war. Xbox is just giving ammo to anyone who has doubts in that brand and "service". Every time I think about upgrading to a series x just to get the best performance out of my 360 library something happens that makes me think to myself "these people don't deserve anymore of my money".

Ford executives were told it was more cost effective to settle lawsuits then recall...maximize profit even at the expense of their own customers.
Corporations are not ethical unless being ethical provides the most profit.
