Do tax deed are auction on what is actually owed or can it be more? Also, where do I go to check if there’s any other liens on it or any mortgage attached to it. I’m afraid of bidding on a property and end up having to owe more than what I have.

Great info! How about once you own the property after redeemable period? Do taxes and principal is owed or just the taxes due is it going forward?

Once you own a property after the redemption period, you're usually on the hook for future taxes. The deal with the previous mortgage (principal and all) depends on how the foreclosure went down. Every state's got its own rules about this stuff, so it's a bit different everywhere.

What about checking for other liens on the property? And how do we check for a clean title on our own?

You can start by visiting your local county clerk's office. They'll help you access the public records you need to see if there are any existing liens. If you prefer online methods, there are lien search tools available, though they might charge a fee. For a really thorough check, hiring a title company to do a comprehensive title search is a great idea-they'll uncover any liens, judgments, or other title issues. If you find the process a bit overwhelming or have questions, a real estate attorney can be an invaluable resource to help you understand everything clearly.

Can we get a short video on property or lot flipping?
Also are there any “buy now” sales ? The thought of having to wait for an auction sucks

A video as in places to sell. How to finalize the deed and take ownership (I know it differs county to county)
