    On the more transparent comparison. Each amp have to run the whole song. I personally prefer Aiyima cos it's more suitable for long listening. It the end its very subjective.Tqvm for the video.

    This has been the most diffacult A-B to date. The differences are super subtle. It is essential the same amp surrounded by slightly different parts so implamentation is what is on trial. It is more like listening to the same amp with different EQ settings and deiding what EQ settings you like. I think I like the sound of B a little bit better. It is a little warmer and the mid bass and vocals seem to have a little bit more life like sounds. I think A is cleaner and more clear and a tad brighters but the mids lack warmth again subtle but very real! If one was not hearing them A-B in this sort of setting it would be impossible to tell them apart. Depending on speakers used and any EQ it would be impossible to tell them apart.

    Agree with your assessment. I personally preferred the Fosi V3 as well and I was amazed how easy it was to distinguish between the amps in your demo even though I was using my speakers (Magneplanars) instead of headphones.

    I did not listen to all the fragments because my cat's hogging my seat. But I did hear that B is the Aiyima A70 mono's. I also have a pair playing with Sparkos opamps.
    A sounded thin. B sounded like a big serious amp (that's back in the box for now). A doesn't synergize as well with my speakers.
    I played LP's over a Chinese EAR834 clone (modified with PiO caps and Philips ECC82) that has an Alps volume pot, straight into the A70 mono's. That was truly magical!
    Also, they match well with the black Laiv Harmony dac!

    And is it possible from devices from companies such as Topping, Fosi or Aiyima to assemble a sound management system that can handle sound sources such as computer, TV and streamer without rewiring between devices? I'm considering a Yamaha RX-V4A home theater receiver but maybe there is a better solution :)?

  • @LEEKING2005
    @LEEKING2005 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

    Disagree, I would describe amp A as very neutral, very transparent, very high fidelity and sound much more expensive (despite of the look). It's somewhat both very analytical, very details attack (especially bass), very expressive but somehow in an elegant and mellow way of balance. As I'm more familiar with orchestra and metal it's very obvious when the low bass and electric guitar mid/high frequency playing on each other.
    Where as the amp B is very artificial, though in your room of acoustic, speaker and etc combo it didn't sound as really cheap in the 1st place (pop song and less demanding genre), but soon it reveal itself when more genre played. It's very jazz in term of frequency response, had much more aritificially crossfeed compared to A and very skewed and mellow in term of sound. In the result of that, it's somewhat muddy and dull, had way less details in bass and high, and any genre of songs that had something more than mid frequency it is very artificial.
    Also the slight overwhelmingly bright and forward sound of amp A, it might have something to do with your acoustice treatment and speaker placement, in some genre it's slight toward that feels (as mid forward and overly punchy), but after listen to what frequency specifically producing that feels i think it's your acoustic treatment and speaker placing. Should consider toe in more, listening in nearer distance or adding some acoustice treatment cause I think it's the echo.

      Thanks for your feedback. Yes the Aiyima is way calmer and not offensive at all. While I like liveliness very much, I know many audiophiles are looking for mellowness and can sacrifice really a lot for it ;)

      @@VirtualHiFi Actually Hifi stand for high fidelity. The Aiyima are not very good in many frequency, I would say it's more masking and artificial, thus should not be consider as hi-fi.
      IMO it's ok for entertainment purpose usage, but below the entry level of hifi.

    Great vid! I have a question for you or anyone else, if you don’t mind… I have two of the V3s driving my speakers and they sound great. I want to get another one to drive my passive subwoofer but after tons of research, I can’t find how to wire it in my scenario. Hope I’m not hijacking the comments, but I’m assuming there’s a lot of knowledge here so I’ll give it a shot… Schitt modi DAC into Schitt magni preamp into a high filter capacitor arrangement terminating in one filtered channel and one non filtered channel. Obviously the separate L and R filtered channel RCAs are feeding my 2 V3s while the other unfiltered channel RCAs are for my passive subwoofer. Question is - how do I wire the L and R RCA outputs to the single RCA input on the V3?

    • @ernestojajan1419
      @ernestojajan1419 24 วันที่ผ่านมา

      I power a passive subwoofer by using a second output from my preamp to a Rolls subwofer crossover to a Fosi Za3 set in mono mode. The Rolls subwoofer crossover works very well and allows for both sub volume and crossover frequency.

      Since my Battle of Opamps video where the Paralell NE5532 was in my opinion one of the best sounding one , I spent countless hours experimenting with paralleling opamps. I basically purchased all available opamps that can be used for Audio and I soldered countless prototypes mixing 2, 4, and more different opamps in parallel, which increases the output current and reduce noise. So now I believe I found the best sounding combinations of the off the shelf opamps that are connected in parallel with different mix
