Wow! So much information! I do want to be feminine, but I'm older (80) and feel limited by my circumstances. I do like to feminine things, i practice a feminine walk, i like to put my (6 months on HRT) chest forward. I will soon get a bra and more, at least, androgynous chlorhes! I want so much to be more feminine and accepted!❤ you Dr Z!

Thank you for this video. It never occurred to me that dysphoria would have subtypes. It makes so much more sense now, as a person without much physical dysphoria. I would love to see a video about the less common subtypes.

Unsure if I'm binary transfemme or bigender / genderfluid. Pre-transition. Still on the fence about HRT. I do experience varying degrees of all of them. I probably struggle with body and social the most. I tend to avoid mirrors unless I'm feeling really good about myself. I don't like going out in public unless I'm 100% on and in a good headspace.

I mainly experience the second type, i have been able to start a lot of my transition so i don’t have a crazy amount of physical dysphoria, but i care a lot about whether i am perceived as a woman

its kinda crazy to imagine how many people have dysphoria in the sense that it doesn't really affect them much, and they just feel neutral and just think thats how everyone feels- its interesting to me- a little sad because they could probably be living a better life and dont even realize-

Now, I am waiting for a medical appointment to start hrt, because I started to feel clothes I was using didn't fit correctly I started to see a man in women clothes, and I don't like it. I'd love to see myself more feminine. Again, this is normal. Thank you, Dr. Z.

i have quite a hard time with my gender, because i feel very little physical dysphoria, i just feel like a man- i think and act like a man a lot of the time and sometimes i forget i look like a woman and it's like a jumpscare when people misgender or deadname me-
and when i feel more feminine, it feels more feminine man than a feminine gender- sometimes i am more masc and want people to see me as a man, sometimes im more fem and want people to see me as a man, and sometimes im fem and dont care how people see me??
ive been going with genderfluid/genderfluid man for awhile just because.. im a little stumped, but i dont think i ever feel like a woman??
im not super stressed about a label and i dont believe everyone needs a label, but i personally like labels- so if anyone has any ideas feel free to share

I have the first 4 types… I was a little confused about the 4th subtype- sexual dysphoria. Can it cause other types of dysphoria? Or is the root cause of dysphoria mostly unknown?
    Thanks Dr. Z! 😊

When I started this journey and dysphoria started to manifest stronger, the first part of my life was sex, I couldn't keep an erection if I didn't perform like a woman. I mean, I needed to wear women's clothes and act like one. Is this common? Thank you for your videos Dr. Z.

I'm positive I fall into at least a couple of these sub types. For sure linguistic dysphoria.

Regarding sexual dysphoria... I thought you would talk about things like discomfort when playing the role of a man when having intimacy (if you identify as a woman). Feeling bad when having intimacy because you are in the opposite place to where you would like to be (speaking of intimacy between a man and a woman). Feeling sadness and discomfort because you do not have the primary sexual characteristics that would allow you to enjoy sexuality as women do. And, when having intimacy with a woman, the contrast makes you feel even more dysphoria.
12:14 Is the first "thing" (of that sub-type) related to the above? I ask because... when you talked about the "second passway" (people who feel shame and guilt for certain practices and/or preferences considered taboo that end up making them feel sexual dysphoria); Seeing that you spent more time on the "second thing," my understanding of what sexual dysphoria is, what it refers to, or what it encompasses, instead of becoming clearer, became blurred.

Am I understanding correctly, that sexual dysphoria can be a product of consuming gender bending erotica? As in a cis person, because they feel shame, develops gender dysphoria that they would otherwise not experience? Is this information that we can find somewhere, like a study or other literature? Thanks Dr. Z.

You dont seem to be covering some of the dysphoria that I experience. My mind actually tries to change my reality.
When I am horny and feeling dysphoria I dont want to use my male parts to self pleasure. The two energies build up and when I am half asleep, my brain rewires the nerve endings for my male genetalia and sets them up as female genetalia. Then proceeds to feel like I am being penetrated. I am not trying to fantasize. It is happening subconsciously.
The other night wasnt feeling much dysphoria and I was pleasuring myself when the dysphoria kicked in hard. I was looking at my male parts when my mind, on its own visually was overlaying my male parts with female parts. I was literallly looking at my male parts when the dysphoria had me seeing female parts.
When I am trying to work out my transness in my mind, my mind always speaks of my female parts as existing. I use possessive identifiers. My this. My that.
I cant seem to apply this type of dysphoria to your categories here. My original mind is female. It has stayed female. Now that ive broken through the CPTSD to finally find my real self, my mind wants the life it should have always had. Now.

Just on the point of the people "trying to save the younger generations", while some probably don't understand they're doing a lot of harm, some are very aware of the harm they're causing.
The cruelty is the point for those people, because they are just as happy if we never come out of the closet as they are if we decide to complete S.
A reminder to all of you in the comments here: You are loved. You are wanted. You have allies. Even if sometimes it feels like none of those are true. Keep going, help others when you can, and allow yourself to accept help when you need it. 💙💓🤍💓💙

I have to agree with you. It is their fears that are fueling them to be cruel. They fear their sexuality and take it out on others. Cruelly.
