    I just watched this, and damn Jennifer...you have a wonderful way of talking to others. I am watching everything you put out up to this date, but I'm still catching up on past videos. You speak in such a way that helps anyone (regardless of personal situation) to feel comfortable. Blessings to you and your loved ones ❤

    So happy you ladies have been able to find the strength, courage and determination to make a life that is truly fulfilling and rewarding in speaking openly and truthfully about your HIV diagnosis. I worked in hospitals and nursing homes and I became exposed to fluids like urine and blood from HIV, and Hepatitis C infected patients. The stigma is real and it is very difficult to understand and overcome. I remember the supervisor was all dead silent when I asked her if I needed to test myself, she was very uneducated woman who was not at all openly giving information about not having to worry about getting infected, we were not even told if the patients are on antivirals., which could have eased our minds and not make us live in panic for weeks and months.

    • @Pozleigh
      @Pozleigh  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Thanks for sharing this. Just so you know and anyone else who reads this know, HIV isn’t in urine and touching HIV infected blood won’t turn into a transmission. It’s sexually transmitted period. There was no risk in anything you described. ❤️

    • @BlueskyDenver
      @BlueskyDenver ปีที่แล้ว

      @@Pozleigh We were told that coming in contact with blood from HIV infected person can potentially lead to infection. If the person is on antivirals then as you say there is no such risk.

    • @Pozleigh
      @Pozleigh  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      There’s no risk either way. They don’t know what they’re taking about. You could smear HIV infected blood all over your skin and nothing would happen. HIV is dead as soon as it hits oxygen and it doesn’t go through skin.

    Doctors are so so... Idk. I remember being in the ICU with sepsis pneumonia and my blood work, idk what it showed but the doc was adamant that I had HIV. And I argued with him "no I don't I get tested all the time" (recovering addict but was active at the time). But like I said nothing he was like "let's do this test so we can start treating you"... Test was negative. But doctors are just so rude kinda about this stuff

      You need to use condoms and get HIV counseling. I once was the same way and it landed me committed in a mental health facility. I lost my job, relationship…30lbs because I would not eat. I was at the Clinic so often I was told I could not come back!!!!!! For a certain amount of time. I was off the rails and was never satisfied with a neg test. I always thought I had symptoms. I made myself sick that’s for sure.
      If I could have handled myself with even a quarter of grace Jen demonstrates…It’s obvious she put her children and others first and did not behave selfishly even in her worst hours. So much respect

    Also I feel you shouldn’t kick someone else health like diabetes because that’s kinda absurd ….. cause I feel like most people would choose diabetes! I get it’s a sickness but someone who has diabetes probably doesn’t want to be compared to someone with hiv just being honest like everyone just should deal with there own sickness instead of comparing and saying which is more “easier to live with “ just live

      You must be new here, the odds of a woman transmitting to a man is 1 in 2500 exposures. And women don’t give HIV to women. It’s very safe to say, she gave it to no one.
