    I am Ukrainian. My country has been invaded by Russia. In this video, I will tell you what happened on the seven-hundred-ninety-first day of the war.
    Day 791: Apr 24
    Today, there is a lot of news from the Liman direction.
    Here, Russian forces refused to accept the defeat in the Battle for Terny, and suddenly opened a new vector of attack to prevent the collapse of their bridgehead, and retake the initiative back in their hands. Russian forces tried to make a decisive breakthrough that would enable them to secure a safe crossing of the Zherebets River and thus advance on the town of Liman.
    Last time, the Russians conducted a series of massive mechanized attacks in a quest to advance along two parallel tree lines, however, all these attempts were successfully blocked by Ukrainian forces. That is why, in a renovated attempt to find a weak point, Russian forces decided to change the attack vector and try to attack further south, close to Yampolivka.
    If we look at the topographic map, you may remember that the Russian forces had to advance along a narrow strip at the foot of an elevated zone controlled by the Ukrainians. The Ukrainian forces took advantage of their positions by counterattacking Russians from the heights. In contrast, when it comes to the third vector, Russian forces would be advancing on high ground until they reach the small forest. Although their flanks could theoretically be attacked from, these attacks would have to come from relatively lower areas.
    In theory, entrenching in the forest in front of Yampolivka would allow Russians either to directly assault this settlement, which is less than a kilometer away, or combine it with the northernmost vector to provide cover and facilitate advancement along the central vector.
    Recently published geolocated images show the entire sequence of this recent attempt at the third attack vector. The combat footage shows at least two tanks and a BMP armored vehicle being detected at a very early stage of the attack.
    In the beginning, the footage shows how a BMP-2 vehicle was hit very early on by an FPV drone, which prevented it from proceeding with the attack. The infantrymen who tried to take cover were later hit by cluster munitions and eliminated. In the final images of the video, Ukrainian soldiers can be seen destroying the BMP-2 to prevent its recovery. When it comes to the tanks participating in the attack, even though the first tank received damage in the early stages of the operation, it managed to continue the attack, initiating a rush forward and avoiding several impact attempts. The chase continued for several hundred meters until an FPV drone finally hit and disabled it, and the crew was forced to get out and try to get to shelter.
    As for the second tank, the images show a quite unconventional withdrawal attempt, which included the activation of a smoke screen; however, seconds later, it was hit by an FPV drone one more time and destroyed.
    According to the latest updates from Russian and Ukrainian sources, this new Russian mechanized attack not only completely failed, but it also allowed Ukrainian forces to completely retake control of the grove east of Yampolivka, which was considered a gray zone up until now.
    The reason for the failure of the Russian mechanized assault along the third axis of advance is threefold.
    Firstly, the Ukrainian superiority in reconnaissance capabilities and employment of FVP attack drones has become evident. Notably, the map of successful drone attacks in the area by both sides reveals an overwhelming advantage of Ukrainian drone capabilities that has dramatically compromised Russian attempts in recent weeks, particularly in helping to prepare an overwhelming response well in advance.
    Secondly, according to various Ukrainian sources, the Ukrainians have been able to rotate their forces in the area with fresh troops in recent weeks. Ukrainian commander-in-chief Oleksandr Syrskyi recently announced that rotations had begun in various directions on a widespread level since troops had not been rotated in many places for more than a year. Due to the rotation, Russian troops here had to face much fresher Ukrainian troops.
    And thirdly, it appears that Russian forces are beginning to show fatigue both in terms of equipment and personnel resources. The size of this mechanized assault was much smaller than those observed over the last few weeks, which is a clear indicator of exhaustion of the forces. A prominent Russian military blogger recently commented that elements of the Russian 25th Combined Army, which had been attacking the Terny area until now, have been withdrawn. It was unknown whether they had been redeployed...

      Ukraine should be provided with an enough fighter aircraft to form airforce, such as F-16s and longer-range precision munitions, including ATACMS (more of them, and the longest-range versions should be sent to them}), and the russian military facilities inside of russian territory should be considered legitimate targets. It is worth noting that support for military aid to Ukraine in America is over 80% and increasing. This is because Americans understand that not only is aiding Ukraine the morally right thing to do, it is the practical thing to do also. America has spent something like approximately 6% of our military budget so far to aid Ukraine. However, more than half of the russian army has been destroyed. This is a tremendous bargain by any measure! In addition;, when russia is defeated in this war, their barbaric ideology of imperialism will also be defeated, making Europe a much more peaceful and stable place for decades - as well as preventing a new arms race in the region. That is why billions of dollars spent today to aid Ukraine saves trillions of dollars tomorrow. The vast majority of Americans understand this fact. Americans also want Ukrainian military and civilian casualties minimized. This is why Americans are correct to support providing military aid to Ukraine.
      Please write to your elected representatives to request this military aid. If you are an American citizen, please consider writing to President Biden and your other elected representatives, and demand Ukraine be given the above weapons - in war-winning quantities, and promptly. The sooner America provides Ukraine the weapons it requires to liberate all of its territory, the sooner this war will be done, and with fewer Ukrainian casualties. Letters can be submitted electronically via the Whitehouse website. One can also conduct a google search for ones' elected representatives - many of which have similar websites. One may simply write and submit a letter electronically to make one's desire known.

    After some bad news the last few days it's good to hear Ukrainians having success again. Let's hope the US aid will turn the tide.

    • @ctusser
      @ctusser 13 วันที่ผ่านมา +22

      It should help stop Russia from further advances for about a year but probably won’t get the lost territory back. Russia can keep up this level of pressure for 2-3 more years, hopefully aid to Ukraine will continue as well. The only hope for Ukraine to regain it’s lost territories is if Russia collapses, which is entirely possible if the Western allies stop dithering on support.

    • @martin231181
      @martin231181 13 วันที่ผ่านมา +9

      @@ctusserThe window of opportunity to get territory back was really lost when the aid from the US was delayed and Ukraine had to delay and delay their counter offensive, while Russia could keep building defensive lines. There can of course still be hope but it looks difficult.
      Russia will probably not collapse, but its economy could certainly turn worse.
      What Ukraine needs to achieve is that Russia feels they can’t get anywhere, and want to make a deal.
      It doesn’t matter if Ukraine alone wants to make a deal, because if they learned anything from the last decade, it is that Russia doesn’t care about the letters in a deal, and they will attack again when they see fit. So reality on the ground have to be in a way that Russia feels they need the deal.

    • @ctusser
      @ctusser 12 วันที่ผ่านมา +6

      @@kencannuck , Definitely not a bot. But Russia is fully committed to this war and now on a total war footing. They’ve been mobilizing 30k soldiers per month and have grown in manpower, whereas Ukraine is short on manpower and morale has suffered. Recently the 115th mechanized brigade was supposed to rotate with the 47th mechanized brigade but abandoned their positions and almost allowed Russia a big breakthrough for maneuver warfare behind the lines. It’s been getting pretty bad for Ukraine lately with ammo, equipment and manpower shortages but the new aid should significantly help Ukraine going forward to halt any significant advances. We can learn from last year’s failed Ukraine counteroffensive and Russia’s difficulties in making progress despite it’s recent advantages that gaining territory by either side is extremely difficult and costly. The best hope is for the West to drastically increase its weapon production and increase support for Ukraine for 2-3 more years to ruin Russia’s economy.

    Russia rotates its troops by letting the previous forces rot in trenches and bringing in fresh meat. Ukraine has been defending very well even when the support was lacking. From now on the rest of the year will see much stronger support to Ukrainian forces. Ukraine will start to turn the tide and hit major high value targets and logistics behind the lines and it’ll make servicing Russian troops next to impossible. 4: AFU have supposedly been able to rotate their forces specifically in the Kremmina region.
    As the AFU learned in Robotyne that attacking the russian forces in active defense was a silly idea, lets hope the AFU decides to take the initiative from the onset of the arrival of the aid and make a push towards Kremmina before the Russian forces are able to adjust from their current offensive in the area to a more defensive stance.

      An immediate shock to the supply lines and hubs, force concentrations (which should be a lot more now than there was a few months ago), and command hubs in areas around Kreminna could destabilize the front line just enough to push the Russian forces out of Kreminna and get the AFU a foothold past the defensive line east of Kreminna.
