Hey Rudy It’s about time some one did a Ramcharger. Looking forward to seeing Hollie and your ideas come too fruition on this truck. My grandfather and my father and myself have all had Ramcharger. I’ve actually owned three. So this series on this truck is going to be muchly anticipated by both my wife and myself. Good luck with the build look forward to each new episode. Cheers Hollie and you
Great that you chose a earlier model domestic model. Love the Dodge Ramchargers and Chevy K-5 or 10 blazers / crew vehicles. International Scout slant back is another gem, or the original Toyota Land Cruiser (a very sweet off-road vehicle, if you can find one around).
@@mikek5298he probably isn't glued to TH-cam, but most people don't post Monday's... that's why he said "Mondays are boring on TH-cam"... Which it kind of is 🤷♂️

The RAD, MORR, FABRATS, and everyone is all a tight knit community. Wish we we all could stick together and help out with a good start like each of these channels. Nice to see you Rudy, and glad to see that Trevor joined your adventure as well.
My grandpa then dad had an 85 RamCharger and the 318 2 barrel was ridiculous. Had to use low range in the transfer case to get the boat out but it was heavy and steep ramp but would not do it with traction and 32” idk what the gears were but likely bad as in not low. It didn’t have overdrive so maybe 3.23 or so with a low 1st in the trans. I did drive my boss’s 86 with 360 4bbl and was so much better. It did well for dad off-road and he had K5 and 77 Cheyenne short bed both 77s and 400 sbc. The pickup ran way harder with 3.73 shift kit and 35’s bark 2nd. We had a t-bucket and 71 Formula 400 and jet boat 455 Olds do 90ish mph. The Ram was an oddball for us but all it needed was power and I think it had vacuum operated front axle splitter like Jeep’s so that should be mechanical. Cool build rarely see them. I saw a nice one just a couple weeks ago.. the first I’ve seen in a few years. Love my book yet? 😜👊🏻
It’s coming along nicely so far guys. Can't wait to see more videos soon my friends. Keep up the great craftsmanship and hard work my friends. Fab On. Weld On. Keep Making. God Bless.

It seems those that really hate cranking on rusty bolts really love the smell of Blaster! I'm looking forward to seeing the upgrades you will be doing at your place.
I would have done the Second coat of undercoat with a spray gun lol the brush got all the picky spots now turn that gun up and lay it down it’s easier and it looks good, and a easier way would be to back the trailer up to the bay door and winched it onto the trailer then the off load you could roll it off
The RAM is looking max. The frame is looking new, or better than new. The plug welds are making the look stronger. Decent work from everyone. Rudy and Holly your build plan is so in line with your goals.
I’m a Retired Union Boilermaker and I would always put a piece of Brass Plate on the back side of holes 🕳️ to weld them closed and then clean the back side with a grinder and put a cap weld on the back. The brass sometimes gets stuck to the weld so be sure to remove it before doing any welding on the back.
That does seem like a nice truck to start a project on . Nice big sturdy frame . I do not know about the engine or trans or anything else but I guess you will show us
If your going this far… why not 4 link it.. unless it has to have some leads!.. I’d link it front and rear.. and get the good shock like u have on the jeep..🤷♂️ just my opinion 😅but great job!.. tho I might have missed them..
Should be a good build. Similar to K5 Blazer. Had both in my family for years. The Dodge was just underpowered unless you got the 360 but our 1977 K5 had a 400 and so did our 77 Clydesdale had 400 also.
Just so you know this is basically my dream build. I've always wanted to build a 70s Ramcharger on 37 to 40 five-speed manual or six-speed with a 4bt Cummins ideally 4 Linked
You should call it the RAMMD Charger. Rudys Adventure & Mischief Maker Designed Charger😂🤷 I like the Carolina lean style with the little ties in the rear
Cool project, but, what am I missing? You add wheels and tires that probably double the unsprung weight along with what look like 1 1/2" to 2" wheel spacers. All in the quest for bigger tires?
Paul has one SWEET 1985 ATC 250r! I have the same bike and I SWEAR Rudy that a long time ago I saw an 85 ATC 250r and an ATC 185s in yourf Dad's shop as well. Are you all sercret three-wheeler boys?
Looks like you have a good plan! Keep plugging away and it will be done. Then WATCH OUT!! The rad charger will be leaving black marks on the pavement!!
Getting there, you appear to work really well together, Holly certainly has skills, but where did she learn them? & who is the huge smiley black guy lurking in the background?
Question: what's the advantage to spending the time and labor to plug weld all the holes on the frame? Like, is there an actual reason or was that just preference/aesthetic?
Truck is starting to look better. Been following you and the other builders and so far Bleepin Jeep has been sharing the most about their build. The Dumpster Fire rig is looking good, but seems to be relying on the stock drive train. Would like to see more about "why you are doing what you are doing", so far the videos are painting a picture that shows you guys pretty much winging it. Maybe this is what you want, to maintain your underdog status? Im routing for you.

The RAD charger potential design looks good. I just think you need to add a few more things and it can look like a "Ghostbusters" mobile.
Since it’s already got rust on the rockers you should boatside it when you do the rock sliders
