Near the town hall is assumption church and St George church - oldest Anglican and 2nd oldest Catholic Church in malaysia. They are split in the mittle by the penang museum which is currently under renovation. Do check those out

Another mee sotong place I like in penang is mee sotong Bangkok Lane. Used to be at Bangkok Lane but shifted to another food court, can Google search the new location
they are a few drinks that i havent seen you guys tried. give a try to simple plain cold rose syrup , iced horlick. iced cham(milked black tea + kopi), iced milo, iced milked rose syrup bandung(pink color), air jagung (corn, choose the thick one), air mangga susu( iced milked mango shake- rest. wanjo have it). iced carrot juice, iced watermelon juice-with milk or not, and others air balang (a fusion iced in the clear tank, you may see them mostly at pasar malam/night market or any roadside stalls). try them all

Lots of people in the USA, Canada, UK, and Australia cannot get enough of the food in Malaysia when they go back home or even go to another country even Thailand and Vietnam they miss Malaysian food and try to find them whenever they land, they will try to find a Malaysian Restaurant and some even come back to Malaysia.
Jon im the same, i have tea during the week and only coffee on wknds. On travel days tho, it’s kopi time anytime. How can we say no when it’s under a dollar and so delicious?
