Hi! We're Jon and Linda - or more informally, Bingo (Bing-go) and Binew (Bee-new)!
Linda is a food-lover, and bubble tea enthusiast. She will go anywhere so long as there is delicious food involved, and she has transformed Jon into a fellow foodie.
Jon is an explorer-at-heart with an insatiable urge to find out what’s at the end of every street. He is often found tagging Google Maps with new areas to explore, and bringing Linda along on random adventures.
Together, we love to get to know a city on foot and on a budget, while trying new foods along the way.
And that’s pretty much what you’re going to find in our videos!
We hope you choose to join us in our adventures!

Jollibee spaghetti sauce is a combination of tomato sauce and Filipino banana ketchup. That’s why is sweet. The hamburger does not have any vegetable and it’s just plain cheese burger. Hope that you guys have had a good time with your food exploration in Taiwan.
Do you guys have any barriers with languages in foreign countries. For instance, in Malaysia, many of the Chinese immigrants speak Cantonese rather than Mandarin. And my friends who were posted to Guangzhou and Taipei told me that both the spoken and written Mandarin in those countries are totally different from the Mandarin used in Malaysia.
@@Yasin_Affandi Oh yes! There was a bit of a barrier, but we were able to get by with using the Google Translate app. Although sometimes that didn’t translate perfectly, either.
@BingoandBinew I thought so too. Even in Malaysia, although most people speak English, the pronunciation can sometimes be different. When I know that I was going to be posted to Mumbai, I learned how to speak and write in Hindi, not to my surprise, the people in Mumbai, Maharashtra, speaks in Marathi, the local language, only the educated people will speak English and Hindi. I was hoping for a posting to one of the cities in Europe or USA, but that didn't happen. Oh well, c'est la vie. 😀
@@Yasin_Affandi Ah! Yes we tried to say “the food is delicious” to many of the restaurant owners and vendors and they didn’t understand us, so we must have been saying it incorrectly. So we reverted to rubbing our bellies and saying “yum” or “good” with a thumbs up. 😅
@BingoandBinew Haha. That's wonderful, thumb up. In Malaysia, delicious is sedap. 😀
A couple of tips for the next time you guys come - (1) there is a lounge (Priority Pass accessible) in Jewel itself - Changi Lounge which provides almost the same services as the airside lounges (at Level 1 - 304). (2) Just nearby the restaurant you had dinner, there is an actual food court (hawker style) with a variety of stalls and they are even more affordable.
