We often think of Krennic as a incompetent person because of the movie while completely ignoring the fact that he managed the complete construction of a battle station with the size of a moon and the power to destroy planets and the only reason it failed was because he got stapped in the back by his own. His true talent doesn't lie in military leadership but management. A far more important aspect in the first few years of the empire in my estimation.
It’s something most people don’t think of when they think competent imperials as it’s gets shifted to military talent like Thrawn or Veers, but Krenic as you has excellent management skills for a man constantly being stabbed in the back by his superiors who think his project is useless and an expense.
Krennic is the victim of being in the middle-management. He's going to have to deal with the incompetence of those below him while at the same time being stabbed by those above him.
Really ? I always thought he's one of those officer who knows how to do their job and of course he's pissed when tarkin try to take control and all credit from him
The best part is how cannibalistic the empire is. Just like real fascism, everyone is stepping over each other to get ahead, to gain favor from the top.
I really loved how Krennic encapsulated the role of an evil middle manager. He didn't want to control the empire, or take over the galaxy. He wanted recognized and given a pat on the back by his higher ups for helping them do those things in a timely and effective manner. The lives lost to the machine were just steps on a corporate ladder for him, and watching him grow more furstrated as he keeps being denied the glory he thinks he deserves is glorious.
@@fistofram5526yeah I was gonna say the same thing. Its one of my top 3 Star Wars movies. Its nice being able to just jump into it without watching prior ones and its an important event but it can be watched isolated from the rest of the saga.
Rouge One is my top SW movie. I was a 10 when Episode 1 came out and grew up on the OT, but this movie definitely takes the cake. It combines everything great about the OT with modern movie making. Down to the details of the Rebel soldiers having 70's style moustaches and sideburns. Peak SW. Rouge One, Revenge of the Sith, and Empire Strikes Back are my top 3.
There‘s a book, the german title is „der auslöser“ (i think in english it‘s cataclyst) It is mainly about galen erso being recruited for project stardust and krennic appears quite a lot in it and his character benefits a lot of it. Also, it‘s one of my favorite sw books, i can only recommend it
Krennic was the one of the most fked over characters I’ve seen in Star Wars. He was the perfect imperial officer. loyal, fanatical, cold blooded and bold, he was doing everything right but his own cause betrayed him.
In episode 4 there was a empty seat at the death star summit. That seat was meant for director Krennic. They made such a genuine story from this little scene. Orson Krennic is the embodiment of the empire's warfare.
The greatest failure of Director Krennic was him being outranked by Grand Moff Tarkin, his higher authority and outright idiocy brought Krennic his downfall
yeah mate, Krennic is actually a very good an competent imperial officer but its just that sometime star wars dosen't manage to show us that, but yeah, to all of us who know a bit about star wars we know that krennic was no joke, Btw very cool edit
I think that the main successes of the Empire were achieved thanks to the fact that the Emperor and the system of government he built opened social elevators for many competent people who could not fully demonstrate their talents in the bureaucratic and corrupt Republic.
Rogue 1 is quite literally the only good Star Wars since 2005, and it’s a shame that it’s surrounded by controversial garbage. All we needed was more stuff like rogue 1.

@user-mq3dl3dv9b I'm not sure I understand your question, could you elaborate?

Rogue One is underrated. You won't change my mind
Definitely not underrated; It's admired by millions, it has very good feedback.

Really awesome. Honestly a shame we don’t have more of him
100%, had such an intimidating presence throughout the film despite not having much screen time.
i kind of liked how little he appeared, its like when they didnt overuse vader before disney
@@JOMVIKINGER Andor season 2 he should return then
Hes in Bad Batch but only for a scene with Tarkin when the BB breaks into their facility

So sad we don't have more of krennic, I really hope we see more of him maybe in Andor season 2 or something would be sooo great
Not Andor but Bad Batch season 2 lol
if you are down to listen to the Thrawn audio novels he is featured in the 3rd book Treason
We need more Star Wars Edits on this platform, good to see people making them, definitely giving this is a shout-out after Christmas!
Thank you man, that'd help a bunch! :)

Tarkin betrayed him, like many others....
krennic has the best drip from all of star wars
"Are we blind?! Deploy the garrison!"
I'll admit, Krennic walks with some serious swagger.
In episode 4 there was a empty seat at the death star summit. That seat was meant for director Krennic. They made such a genuine story from this little scene. Orson Krennic is the embodiment of the empire's warfare.
Krennic was an absolute master of manipulation in Catalyst
We stand here amidst my achievement! Not yours!
I would actually kill for a Director Krennic TV show
This is fantastic!
Thanks man :)
The greatest failure of Director Krennic was him being outranked by Grand Moff Tarkin, his higher authority and outright idiocy brought Krennic his downfall
I love this Empire phonk rabbit hole of TH-cam I’ve found myself in
Director krennic we have been expecting your arrival.
Wow this is literally me. Amazing edit.
The explosion with the drop was clean as fuck holy shit. 😂

It also stifled their progress at higher levels (darth vader)
The only reason he's remembered so fondly is because his acting stands out from the rest of boring surface level characters
Rogue 1 is quite literally the only good Star Wars since 2005, and it’s a shame that it’s surrounded by controversial garbage. All we needed was more stuff like rogue 1.
Capes rule 0:22
He's literally me
i hope krannic makes a cameo in andor
Nice edit, nice character
Before Gideon,he was the Moff.
we need series like Andor but its will be about Krennic
Nice edit of a great character.
He is my favourite character!! He needs to appear in the second season of Andor ✨😍
i will spread it for him
too bad he almost choked on his aspirations when he met Lord Vader
best boi in star wars
W edit
ARE WE BLIND? DEPLOY THE LIKES!

hes literally me
Krennic cryttenic
*_We need a movie trilogy about Krennic and a TV series with two seasons. Please, Disney._* 🤣
Please anyone but Disney
He was right.
Half of the empire was laughing on him behind his back because of his stupid white robe :P
The music ruins this scene
What is this music?
Gigachad phonk
Daddy
What's the phonk music called?
Giga Chad Theme Phonk House Remix
The only good modern Star Wars film
Audio sync is off by a frame. Great job.
