That is of course open for debate. Suggestions :Michel Platini or Ronald Koeman. Ronald Koeman as a defender scored a higher goal/match average than a Fernando Torres, many of them by free kick..MP and RK scored slighly less free kicks than Juninho (50 and 60) , but also played a lot less games.
Other names on the top list David Beckham ,Ronaldonho ,Pele. Before my age Zico and one Victor Legrotalie (who?)..
If you take it to freekickbgoals/games :. juninho scored 77/856 games=8.9% , and one Diego Armando Maradona scored 62/649 games =9.5% free kick goals per game .
So 'Pelusa' is the best free kick goal scorer ... And that is quite logical, of course!

Such power and precision from any distance or angle. Zico was the deadliest from short distance whereas Marcelinho Carioca the most diverse, but Juninho deserves a place among the all-time best free kick takers for sure.

Watching the Eurosport program Eurogoals from 03-06ish was a treat because of this guy. I remember also that freekick VS Werder Bremen on replay while watching another CL match. Perhaps the greatest freekick I've ever seen as it happened.

Wouter Dehaut Nope. Juninhos power kick had no spin. It was almost all toe. His Knuckleball dipped and right before the keeper and is off speed with the laces. He talks about it in an intervie. How he knew he had the right power when the ball was not spinning. A true knuckle is slow and seems fast. If you boot it with your toe just right, it will swirve differently depending on temperature of the day and air density, wind. Its a wild kick. I take penalties with my toe.
