  • Starting with step 1- leveling your bed. Step 2- getting your head square. After those steps are complete, we go over how to move the mirrors, and what we are trying to accomplish as we move them. This is a complementary video to "Explaining the 3rd mirror" and "Perfect beam alignment".

    I wish you'd film in landscape, but otherwise, great videos and products. Thank-you.

    THIS is the best video out there. Buy the alignment tool if you cannot make one. Forget all the crap the others say, this is the smartest and fastest way to align everything

    Thank you for a fantastic video, I have purchased your laser alignment tool. I had one question, you mentioned a Method at the end, I could not make out what you said, it sounded like Swartz Alignment Method. Would you be so kind as to give a link to this method you mentioned so I can finish up the alignment as you have and as you intend on finishing yours please ; ) Thank You again. very dissapointig that you just dropped it off without showing mirror 1 and how you ended up aligning the co2 pulse to the tool red dot. Would have been very very beneficial information.

    This was an awesome video, right up until the point of it ending where you align the laser and mirror one. :(

    Best video on the process I've seen yet. I do have one of your alignment tools but this really clarifies the process.

    I’ve watched both of your videos on using the laser alignment tool and you lose me when you get to mirror one. I am completely following the first steps on mirror 3 and mirror 2. Then what? You keep cutting this part short. Can you please show what to do next

    I think your red dot is moving because the red dot pointer has a small amount of play, it's not completely secure within the laser head. And any bit of vibration effects it.

    you should get a different camera so it shows the whole width of the frame your are filming. if that makes sense. good video though.

    I bought mirrors and lens systems from you. I haven't had the time to use/change/really tune my extremely large OMTech laser. Are the mirrors you sell that much better than what my unit came with? I can't recall the model number. I know it was just about 10,000 usd when I purchased it.

    I have a problem with my masjien. It does not cut through in the lower right side. I have check the alignment, the top part is good but the bottom one does not hit on the same spot. It drops down and moves towards the front of the masjien, about 2 mm. Please help me to rectify this problem?

    What laser head do you have installed? I'm looking to upgrade the K head on my 60w system.

    There’s a narrow flat area running the length of the barrel on your alignment tool. Is this used for any purpose, or just part of the machining?

    • @SteveSaunders56
      @SteveSaunders56 ปีที่แล้ว

      I think some "head tubes" have a set screw or grub screw to retain the lens tube. I believe the flat is for that screw to tighten against.

    How important is leveling the bed? By that I mean if my whole machine is not perfectly level, meaning the frame, the laser tube, and the bed are all at the same level should that still work? My machine is big and weighs 800lbs, so trying to level the whole machine is not going to be an easy task.

    • @americanphotonics9120
      @americanphotonics9120  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      on a small machine it is not very important. a big can twist if it is not level.
