- Nxai Pan National Park is situated in northern Botswana around 13 hours’ drive from Johannesburg in South Africa, 13 hours’s drive form Botswana’s capitol Gabarone, 3 and a half hours’ drive from Maun and the closest town to get your last provisions is Rakops.

I miss this place so much...i should be there next month but you know... thanks for another great review Chris!!!
Thanks! Was my first time to Nxai pan, loved it!
@@GetOutGO It's similar to the CKGR that once you have gone you will always want to go back!!!
Nice one Christof
Awesome video once again guys. Thanks for providing some ideas for future adventures.
Glad you enjoyed it, thanks for watching!
ChristoThe Man - Thanx for the updates watching every episode ....
Thanks for watching!
Thanks so much for the review, Chris.
I was wondering how many camping trailers we could put on each site but I see you have said 2 each except site 10 which would accommodate 3? Really appreciate the video. Thanks
Yup, I think most would take 2 and on no. 10 you can fit 3
Christoff, mate, another beautiful video. Just a quick request - for those of us (me!) who've just discovered your wonderful work, is it possible to do a vid about yourself, your background, and your obvious knowledge and love of Southern African game reserves? It would be most informative. And appreciated! Regards, Dave.
Thanks Dave! I'm considering a few "indoor" videos as a result of the coronavirus lockdown. One of these vids might be a live stream Q&A.
@@GetOutGO Cheers, Christoff! Looking forward to that.
Keeping us dreaming of wide open roads and expanses during lockdown. Thanks!
Yup, would much rather be out there now. Thanks for watching, stay safe!
Awesome Review Chris, It was awesome to travel with you gents! what an awesome campsite and surrounding area, can't wait for the next video!
Yeah I enjoyed this campsite but the next one was even better...
This has been incredibly helpful in planning our upcoming trip!
Glad it was helpful, have fun!
Awesome Video!!!
Thank you!
Very nice Chris, and what a campsite. Definitely a trip and campsite review I can recomend. Goes without saying that travelling with you gents was a true Overlanding Escape #overlandingescape
Couldn't agree more!
Another great review! Did you also stay at Baines?
Thanks! Yes, that campsite review's coming up next 😉
Thank you Christoff for the review :) Is booking possible or required before arriving to the park? would you please share a link with the rates?
My pleasure 😉 I'd recommend booking, definitely required during peak season. You can book via Xomae, the rates are on their site as well; www.xomaesites.com/
Another great campaite review Chris. What's the best time to visit this camp? Am thinking of going during December or Jan.
Thanks Clement! Depends what you’re after. Rainy season (mid Nov - Mar) is great as it’s green and you can see the herds migrate. The roads can become very boggy though and it gets really hot. Winter is a little cooler, the roads are easier and animals congregate at the waterholes. I think it’s a great place to visit any tine of the year!
@@GetOutGO thanks for the reply Chris. Have you been to Namibia or Mozambique? I heard they also beautiful places to visit especially for wildlife.
I've been to both, yes. I will still do some campsite reviews there as well 😉
Nxai Pan - Bain's Baobabs. Please advise - is a Ford Ranger 2x4 sufficient for the park during the dry season?
Hi, I’m afraid not, you need a 4x4
When pis Summer or which months count as Summer in Botswana ?
Nov to Mar
