Hello, is there after half a year, finally, a way to process under Mac OSX this fabled new H.265 HEVC codec from Canon? Is not very customer friendly from Canon .....
Congratulations for the channel. Which one do you consider better CANON XF705 or Sony PXW Z90V. Currently I have a SONY HXR NX80 and I have to change it already, I almost bought a PXW Z190 but its low light performance is poor. I film ballet and theater so I need good autofocus and sensitivity in low light. Thanks and greetings from LIMA PERU.
@@DuffTV Thank you very much for the excellent information. From experience with my HXR NX80 I get a maximum of 24 zooms (12 optical + 12 clear zoom). Greetings from Lima, Peru.
Hello, congratulations for the channel, it is a place of reference. I raise a question: if you could choose, for a TH-cam channel, to buy a video camera, which one would you choose between the Canon c 200 and the Canon XF705. Taking into account the image quality, functions, handling and similar prices. Thank you for your proposals.
This is a camera from 2018, isn't it? How would this camera hold up today, on march 2021 against the competition? Have there been firmware updates that improved functionality ? Is the AF still sufficient?
We are currently using Blackmagic Design's Davinci Resolve 15 Studio. As far as we know this is currently the only NLE that can work with the .MXF files.
Edius is able to read the files - but currently it is slow at playback. And for AVID there is a plugin and decoder from Canon directly. And Resolve of course.
hi there, are you on mac or windows? the footage doesn't work with my MC 2018.12.1 and the plugins are all installed..can you help?@@absolutemotionvideoNY
Why does your video look so soft in 4k?

How would this compare with Nikon Z6, 35mm prime and Atomos for TV quality recording?

The 705 is great in low light for theatre show filming but the x30 Advanced zoom breaks up a little in lower light.

The C200 all the way! We have one and we absolutely love it.
How does the Canon XF705 differ from the Canon XF405, if you do not take into account the price and weight?

The auto focus on the 705 is fantastic
Will the mic show in the footage when using a fisheye adapter? The mic is sticking out quite a bit above the lense
Fantastic, well-done. Happy New Year, all!
Thanks for the review, can you screw a circular POLA on the lens or will it require a matte box?
It seems that is the ONLY true replacement of fabulous XHG1 and XLG1 in one unit.
almost 14 minutes of talking and about 10 seconds of video. WTF?
Yeah and dodgy video at that. Too much talk guys
no review, just the specs again.....
This is an advertisement, not a review.
see more footage 2019
turn it on talk later in a dark room
People love to listen to themselves
bla bla bla ...
What are you guys using to Edit? I can not get .MXF Files into Abobe Premiere.

Works fine in Avid (just need to install the plug-in from canon).
