I had IBSD and Gerd since 2018, went to the ER 4 times in extreme pain, changed doctors twice. What stopped it was removing grains and potatoes in January 2023. I finally have my life back, not having to be within 10 feet of a bathroom 24/7. I am carnivore, however, I eat very few carbs. Oh by the way, I grew up on a cattle ranch, ate red meat all my 70 years, my CAC is zero, zero meds after getting poison plants removed. Many medical professionals refuse to believe nutrition is important and not all people can eat plants.

It is my hope and prayer that people with any GI issues or conditions will know that there are dietary options that will eliminate those symptoms that are deabilitating and painful or will heal from those conditions . Being a colon cancer survivor that has part of my colon removed and been diagnosed diverticulosis, it took 10 years before I heard and practiced a 90 percent carnivore style of eating and have not had one episode of diverticulitis and have no issues with blockages, constipation or diarrhea in over 2 years by just eliminating the inflammatory foods and fiber. The few times that I did try to eat some of those foods, I did experience an episode. It's interesting that there is proven correlation between Stress Management/MH and GI issues and this style of eating will help improve both. Thank you for your compassion and courage. 😊

I am re-listening to the book, “The Big Fat Surprise” by Nina Teicholz. The failures and excuses of scientists and doctors for what I think of as “cooking the books” based on their own biases and their own preconceived notions, makes Nick’s honesty so refreshing. This honesty causes me to want to listen to more of what these scientists and doctors have to say about their research as well as their hypothesis. Though I confess I may as well be sitting at the airport with most of what Nick has to say 😬.
I think with diet, then Case Series are perhaps the most powerful tools. With RCT, often the ‘control’ is not there (how to actually know what people ate?) yet with self selection, we can be fairly sure that a passionate vegan didn’t eat any animal products or a strict carnivore didn’t eat any plants. This is perhaps an excellent control. Equally, case series produced by medical professionals (such as Dr Unwin for T2D), are far from simply anecdotal in that actual measurements were taken by a qualified person (as opposed to, say, me as a random individual making a claim with no evidence). I just wish that more Drs could be encouraged to create Case Series based on objective clinical data. Why not do case series on ‘standard of care’ as Control Groups. Case Series are almost free in that they are simply documenting existing data.

I was breastfed for 14 months and was diagnosed with Crohn's disease at age 42. Maybe the breastfeeding delayed me getting Crohn's. Personally, I think that no matter how good your early diet is, you can't escape one that is hurting your body. As soon as I cut out carbs and went carnivore, all the inflammation in my bowel disappeared. I have read of the bowel issues that premature babies can get as a result from being formula fed and I do believe that formula is just another highly processed food that is bad for humans. Unfortunately, this particular 'food' is directly marketed to vulnerable babies. Why I chose to breastfeed my two children until they self-weaned. Three and three and a half years old.

That may be. We would love to see an RCT of carnivore vs plant based. But for now, it seems clear we need to be more open to alternative dietary strategies.
There is something in the meat that helps you heal fast or maybe thats the natural healing of the body if youre eating the right food it needs. I feel like i have like a van helsing blood that easily healed when accidentaly cut by knife even if the wound is deep, it closes as you press it in minutes then after a few hours it is healed and the next day its like there was no wound on that site. Then my cavities went away with no dentist needed. It reversed! No more pain on my teeth that i cannot use for biting or grinding before. I dont get sick with no supplements or any drug for morethan 2 years now since carnivore. Maybe that explains why i dont get sick is because the immune response is too quick to respond unlike before. I suffer decades of ulcer and acidic with reflux with diarrhea suddenly healed in just days never returned. I was experiencing that since my highschool days when i was about 15 yrs old upto 52 yrs old. Im now 55 never felt better. Imagine those decades of suffering gone in just a change of diet. Its obviously something on the meat that helps and support that fast healing.

My ibd has been in remission for years now with a vegan diet 😊 btw a cure would mean that you can eat anything. If you can only eat meat that is not a cure.
I'm glad veganism works for you but it totally destroyed my brother's health. Carbohydrates (which vegetables are very high in) are something many people (including me) cannot tolerate. A vegan diet often has a lot of processed crap in it which would be very bad for your health. Hopefully you are avoiding that.
Yes, I'm having success both from a brain metabolic (bipolar 2) application as well IBS and UC (IBD). I have been focusing on both water fasting previously and now keto for health and wellness support. Also embracing meditation, exercise (walking, running, weight training, yoga). I previously used the FODMAPS elimination diet to identify the produce i can tolerate. Now I use keto because of my mood and discovered it helps my gut tremendously too. Going to carnivore because “fiber hurts” is like going to the gym, putting on to much weight and concluding that it’s unhealthy to exercise because one muscles ache. You never solve the root cause by running away from the problem.
To be perfectly frank, you don't know what you're talking about. Fat works much better than fibre to soften bowel movements and it tastes a whole lot better. I haven't had any fibre in a year and have not only put my Crohn's disease into remission (zero inflammation in my bowel) but am no longer bowel incontinent or in constant pain. I would say that that is sufficient 'evidence' that fibre is not my friend. Prior to starting carnivore, I used to have to consume 20-30 grams of psyllium husks every day to go and after a while, it wasn't working anymore and just made everything hurt worse.
Sad to hear the absolute disregard for the fact that the human primate does not have a monopoly over feeling pain, fear, grief and bonding with loved ones. It is both arrogant and cruel to ignore the infinite suffering of other animals who are slaughtered for consumption.
I am very concerned about the keto diet. Because to me every being is a sentient being. For example young pigs can be very endearing , just like our pets. I also have crohns. Therefor I do keto therapy on a high dosis. GKI < 3 with OMAD and basics of blueprint protocol. People will think it is not possible to eat deliciously. Yes it is. Examples: bolognaise like sauce with terrayaki noodles, chocolate mousse, praline chocolate, Advocado gaucamole like sauce on buns, advanced superjuice softdrink with stevia etc etc. If you work efficiently with a freezer it wont take to much time too. If metabolic mind is interested I can graphic design to present these meals as nice as possible. Bryan Johnson is vegan and scores as one of the highest in the world on longevity. More animals die for the vegan diet than carnivore. One cow will feed me for a year, while thousands of mice, voles, birds, ground hogs and other small animals die in the fields that produce grains, legumes and vegetables. The vegan myth!🙄

Keto can be vegetarian like you have shown. As long as you are checking your blood ketone levels, you can set up whatever diet you want. But there can be people that can benefit from eliminating fiber and reducing carbs from their diet, at least for a period of time. And let's remember that millions of animals like mice, voles and rabbits are killed to raise crops. Just because you are not eating them, doesn't mean that they didn't die for the food that you are eating. One person can live on one grass fed cow for a whole year or be responsible for the deaths of thousands of animals per year in their vegan diet.

maybe it can help ibd but hope you dont have a prostate, prostate cancer loves animal based foods. not to mention heart disease, diabetes only gets worse. i used to feel great eating meat but developed high grade prostate cancer and had to wake up to some rude realities. live and learn. i wouldnt wish it on anyone. check out castration therapy for prostate cancer then think twice about meat based diets.

Cancer loves sugar (400x glucose uptake in cancer cells compared to healthy cells) as well as the amino-acid glutamine. A lot of remission on plant based also... . Makes me think it's more of cutting off junk food and eating whole foods while avoiding triggers.
That may be. We would love to see an RCT of carnivore vs plant based. But for now, it seems clear we need to be more open to alternative dietary strategies.
There is something in the meat that helps you heal fast or maybe thats the natural healing of the body if youre eating the right food it needs. I feel like i have like a van helsing blood that easily healed when accidentaly cut by knife even if the wound is deep, it closes as you press it in minutes then after a few hours it is healed and the next day its like there was no wound on that site. Then my cavities went away with no dentist needed. It reversed! No more pain on my teeth that i cannot use for biting or grinding before. I dont get sick with no supplements or any drug for morethan 2 years now since carnivore. Maybe that explains why i dont get sick is because the immune response is too quick to respond unlike before. I suffer decades of ulcer and acidic with reflux with diarrhea suddenly healed in just days never returned. I was experiencing that since my highschool days when i was about 15 yrs old upto 52 yrs old. Im now 55 never felt better. Imagine those decades of suffering gone in just a change of diet. Its obviously something on the meat that helps and support that fast healing.

My ibd has been in remission for years now with a vegan diet 😊 btw a cure would mean that you can eat anything. If you can only eat meat that is not a cure.
We agree with the term "cure." We prefer "remission." And we're glad you found a diet that works well for you. Congrats!
I'm glad veganism works for you but it totally destroyed my brother's health. Carbohydrates (which vegetables are very high in) are something many people (including me) cannot tolerate. A vegan diet often has a lot of processed crap in it which would be very bad for your health. Hopefully you are avoiding that.
Yes, I'm having success both from a brain metabolic (bipolar 2) application as well IBS and UC (IBD).
I have been focusing on both water fasting previously and now keto for health and wellness support.
Also embracing meditation, exercise (walking, running, weight training, yoga).
I previously used the FODMAPS elimination diet to identify the produce i can tolerate.
Now I use keto because of my mood and discovered it helps my gut tremendously too.

Going to carnivore because “fiber hurts” is like going to the gym, putting on to much weight and concluding that it’s unhealthy to exercise because one muscles ache.
You never solve the root cause by running away from the problem.
To be perfectly frank, you don't know what you're talking about. Fat works much better than fibre to soften bowel movements and it tastes a whole lot better. I haven't had any fibre in a year and have not only put my Crohn's disease into remission (zero inflammation in my bowel) but am no longer bowel incontinent or in constant pain. I would say that that is sufficient 'evidence' that fibre is not my friend. Prior to starting carnivore, I used to have to consume 20-30 grams of psyllium husks every day to go and after a while, it wasn't working anymore and just made everything hurt worse.

Sad to hear the absolute disregard for the fact that the human primate does not have a monopoly over feeling pain, fear, grief and bonding with loved ones. It is both arrogant and cruel to ignore the infinite suffering of other animals who are slaughtered for consumption.
I am very concerned about the keto diet. Because to me every being is a sentient being. For example young pigs can be very endearing , just like our pets.
I also have crohns. Therefor I do keto therapy on a high dosis. GKI < 3 with OMAD and basics of blueprint protocol. People will think it is not possible to eat deliciously. Yes it is. Examples: bolognaise like sauce with terrayaki noodles, chocolate mousse, praline chocolate, Advocado gaucamole like sauce on buns, advanced superjuice softdrink with stevia etc etc. If you work efficiently with a freezer it wont take to much time too.
If metabolic mind is interested I can graphic design to present these meals as nice as possible.
Bryan Johnson is vegan and scores as one of the highest in the world on longevity.

More animals die for the vegan diet than carnivore.
One cow will feed me for a year, while thousands of mice, voles, birds, ground hogs and other small animals die in the fields that produce grains, legumes and vegetables.

Thank you for your comment. As we frequently say, ketosis is a physiologic state that we can achieve by many different diet types - vegan, vegetarian, Mediterranean, omnivore, carnivore, etc. We are glad each individual can find the path that works for them. Thanks again for sharing.
Keto can be vegetarian like you have shown. As long as you are checking your blood ketone levels, you can set up whatever diet you want. But there can be people that can benefit from eliminating fiber and reducing carbs from their diet, at least for a period of time. And let's remember that millions of animals like mice, voles and rabbits are killed to raise crops. Just because you are not eating them, doesn't mean that they didn't die for the food that you are eating. One person can live on one grass fed cow for a whole year or be responsible for the deaths of thousands of animals per year in their vegan diet.
@@nataliajimenez1870 I know that point about raising crops. There are very good points why this still doesnt add up. But I wont debate that now here.
@@nataliajimenez1870 diet tribalisms. The guy who is talking about the larger animals will never admit that the voles mice and rabbits are being sacrificed for the veg he eats. No point in debates with people who are anti meat.
maybe it can help ibd but hope you dont have a prostate, prostate cancer loves animal based foods. not to mention heart disease, diabetes only gets worse. i used to feel great eating meat but developed high grade prostate cancer and had to wake up to some rude realities. live and learn. i wouldnt wish it on anyone. check out castration therapy for prostate cancer then think twice about meat based diets.
Sorry to hear, but this doesn’t say anything about meat as a source of nutrition by itself - it says more about what you eat the meat WITH. Cancer loves sugar (400x glucose uptake in cancer cells compared to healthy cells) as well as the amino-acid glutamine. Please educate yourself and don’t believe everything your GP and the mainstream media are indoctrinating you with.
