Really sensible useful stuff coming from Dietetics ! (It was a long time coming - not the fault of the dieticians, they have to follow the , often disastrous, lead of local professors of Nutrition)

In the same way that in pharmaceutical trials, the placebo control groups mysteriously report exactly the same rare symptoms - such as akathisia or dyskinesia - that the trial drugs cause!

I don’t recall them monitoring blood ketones. We won’t know if this is a therapeutic ketogenic diet or just another food salad.

Theres too much weak, correlative gut biome stuff being shouted loud. We need to collect a database of a gut microbiome analysis in whole food keto and carnivore folks, to counter the ASSUMPTIONS being made.

That's a great point. Hopefully, there will be more data on the horizon for gut microbiome and true ketogenic diets or carnivore diets, and see how that correlates with health status.

2:1 isn't the only guidance they are given. They are given much more detailed advice that fits within a 2:1 ratio, Sorry if that wasn't clear from the interview.

They're using the definition of a 2: 1 THERAPEUTIC ketogenic diet. Work out total energy intake, work out the energy divide between fat and prote+ carbs, define their protein intake and the 'left over' energy is all that goes to carbs. Not much left at that stage.
