    LOVED the jalapeno train shot! You're absolutely right! You don't see a lot of good jalapeno train shots in videos anymore. You went classic old skool with it too. Very nice touch.

    I just made about 6 dozen of these. They are the BEST I have ever made. Your way is easy and love the seasonings. I like them better baked than fried. Frying was a lot of work, dipping in milk, flour and Panko, etc. It took me forever. I called hubby and he is picking up more jalapenos today for Christmas Eve snacking. Thank you so much for putting this out there. Everyone should try this method at least once. I won't fix them any different from now on and I am passing this recipe along to our daughter and some friends. Many thanks!

    I just made a big baking sheet of these fresh from the garden. Garlic from the garden as well. I made over 50 halves. My husband and I just demolished them within 15minutes. I'm celiac and used gluten-free panko crumbs. They were amazing, crunchy and flavourful. Exactly the recipe I needed. ❤️ Thank you.

    Just made these and they were delicious. Sauteeing the garlic in the butter and then adding the bread crumbs to that mixture first before topping them was genius. That's the tastiest part for me. Loved them!

    Folks, if you lightly spray your hand that you handle the chili with, with a pan spray, any brand will do, you can avoid the burn if you touch your eyes or use the bathroom after making this. When you wash your hands and get all the oil from the spray off, you will also be removing all the oils from the chili that holds the capsaicin that makes them hot. No oil after washing means not burning eyes or other parts later.

      John Miranda that's a tip I can use...I've had plenty of complications in my life because of hot peppers (that's about as specific as I wanna get). Hope the recipe worked out for your menu! ...pairing it with a chili bread bowl and chicken wings sounds perfecto

    I made these yesterday for the game and they came out fantastic. Only one problem, today when harvesting the seeds I collected I neglected the gloves. I was distracted and didn't properly clean my hands and forgot and touched makeup around my eye. Oh yeah, a mistake you only make one time. Luckily after finding that water or eyewash increased the burning of my eyeball I remembered the riots and how they used milk. Needless to say my husband will need to stop by the store on his way home.

    Hey Chef Buck, I thought you should know that your recipe will be used to help feed the poor, the homeless and the just plain lonely in my neck of the woods. I have the privilege of working with a group ever Saturday out here in California (at Saint Angela Merici Catholic Church in the city of Brea ) that is called Bread of Angels. No I am not an angel but I do get to run the kitchen for that group and set the menu. So I will use your recipe for tomorrow along with a chili bread bowl and chicken wings because it is Super Bowl Sunday the next day so we serve party food. I bet your never thought that your recipe would serve the needy over here in California? Via con dios amigo and keep the recipes coming. I will email you and let you know how our guest liked it.

    Okies..this is the first video of yours and I have to say…the outline was a winner. I’m dairy free and subbed out: cream cheese &cheddar ~ 8oz kite hill dairy free cream cheese. And the onion powder &cilantro with four chopped and rinsed fresh green onions. Oh..and I didn’t fancy up the panko..but it was bangarang. Thanks! Can’t wait to try others! My dairy consuming second born said he couldn’t even tell it wasn’t full dairy.

    I made these twice now... really good to take to a party ready to put in the oven. I found before you go to empty the boat, you take a knife and cut laterally to create that bulkhead at the end of the jalapeno. Then press the spoon into the knife cut and the rest just pops right out.

    These are really good! All i had on hand were poblano peppers so I used them and I kept like a couple pinches of the seeds in each half before i filled them and maybe a couple more stirred through the filling to give it some good heat. It wasnt overpowering or anything. I also garnished with some fresh lemon zest and juice and it really tied everything together! Thank you for the recipe! You gave me the idea for the lemon with your easy peezy lemon squeezy comment 😂😁👍

    • @RoundTripSpirit
      @RoundTripSpirit 4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@FR-tb7xh - My tweaks are primarily based on my own personal tastes revolving around most of the spices he has listed around 0:10 in the video. In other words, I've played with the volumes of these spices as well as omitting or combining these spices based on what my taste buds are feeling at the moment. From time-to-time I've also used my homemade chipotle and my homegrown smoked garlic. I've even used a little Hidden Valley Original Ranch Dip Seasoning & Salad Dressing Mix in the cream cheese and it's pretty good! Additionally, I always wrap them in bacon as a final step before baking and that really does the trick for me. I make large batches of these poppers and then freeze them and vacuum seal them up for longevity. Enjoy!

    Love the idea of baking them, as apposed to frying. How hot is the jalapeno pepper after the seeds are out? Maybe as hot as most "hot" sauce one would buy in a store? Does the cream cheese help to reduce the heat from the peppers? Looking forward to trying your recipe!

    • @ChefBuckRecipes
      @ChefBuckRecipes  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      yeah...the cream cheese does balance out the heat; dairy in general will counter pepper heat. I've found that jalapenos I buy at the market can really vary in heat...if you're sensitive...then a little milk in the fridge on standby will be good insurance

    Chef Buck, just to let you know that my guest loved them. We made 240 of those bad boys on Saturday and they got wiped out. The only down side of the weekend was the last play of Sundays game. LOL I'm glad I don't live in Seattle.

      John Miranda it's impossible to resist jalapeno and cheese (at least for me it is!)--and yeah--it was a good game, but at the end, you could here a collective sigh in the building where I live....appropriately enough, it has been raining ever since.
