    Can an Event be created automatically when a meeting is scheduled?
    It makes sense it should, but can't get it to work (Calender is synced)

      Look up Einstein Activity Capture (but only for Events). That will sync meetings on your Google or Outlook calendar into Salesforce and associate the Events with Leads or Contacts dependent on email addresses.

    Hi. I have tasks, is there any way for my users to Edit the said tasks? I checked the permissions and the Edit Task is checked, but still have the error message of 'insufficient access rights on object ID'

      This is a common error as the Task is tied to a destination parent record that the user is not the owner of. I've come across this when auto syncing calendar events into Salesforce.

    Great video. What is the best way to have a report that shows my teams activities by salesperson?

    • @salesforcenow
      @salesforcenow  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Depending on how the activities are created (manually or by a third party system) I typically look at Assigned To. You can also look at Assigned To Role and add the name of the Role of your team to the filter.

    Thanks for the video! Is there a way to tag my client's activities with key words or "Topic"?

      Can you help me understand this better? Do you simply want a picklist or text field to put a value in to show key words?

    Hi, you mentioned log a call and send email. What do you recommend if my reps meet their customers? Event?

    • @salesforcenow
      @salesforcenow  4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yes I would recommend Event. If they have these meetings in their Outlook or Google calendar that is attached to the same email, you can also set up Einstein Activity Capture and toggle it only for Events. This will automatically find meetings from calendars and attach them to contacts that are related.

      @@salesforcenow how do you make it easy for the reps to enter these info? is it to use mobile outlook calendar?

    • @salesforcenow
      @salesforcenow  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      If you set up EAC it will pull meetings automatically from their calendar. It can pull it into Salesforce onto any contact that has the same email as an attendee on the calendar meeting. Happy to chat further if you haven't worked with it.

      @@salesforcenow Thanks, that helped a lot. So if my reps have called or emailed the customer, i should save it as a task?

    In the Events object, what is the difference 'Name' and 'Attendees'?

    • @salesforcenow
      @salesforcenow  3 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Great question! The Name field is the WhoID - aka the direct Contact or Lead that the Event is related to. The Attendees field often lists all the other attendants on the call/meeting. The difference is that the Attendees data doesn't actually live on the Event object. It does show there, but it lives on the EventRelation object.
