I do agree. The best part is a new one is just around the next bend in the travel's. Some thing new and different. I like the stops at places with historic values and places of interests. I suppose we can say unique that we can travel along in this digital age

A few years ago, just before my health failed, I was fortunate enough to walk a 7.3 mile piece of the Appalachian trail. It was beautiful and rugged, taking me every bit of daylight plus an hour in the dark. I really enjoyed watching your experience on the trail. Looks a bit more tame than the section I did but very interesting.
Your video today was just what I needed. Feeling pretty cooped up these days so I look forward to your vids when they drop. Always beautiful cinematography and commentary. Thanks so very much for what you do!

Love this trip...cute town...great company...loved all the wildlife too. Glad you had a good time Robert because I did. Keep up the travels! See you on the road! God's blessings!
We went to Harpers Ferry in March right as everything was closing because of Pandemic... it is so beautiful there... went to all the same points of interest. And we stayed at the KOA too. We will be returning also.
Skyline Drive - Love It! 1968 Family of 6 in a popup at Loft Mountain heading to Florida. 1975 Honeymoon at Skyland Lodge in the cabins overlooking the valley. 1984 Anniversary week in a new pop up at Big Meadows Campground. 1988 Road Trip with the kids in the popup. 2008 overnight at Big Meadows in a 2 man tent after a week of section hiking on the AT. I think it’s time for another visit. Thanks for the memories!
Just found your channel a few weeks ago..just simply amazing can't seem to stop watching .... especially now during this pandemic I am in South Florida and the Virus is still going strong so your videos are a comfort to watch very refreshing during these times
Hello Robert - Drove through that Skyline Drive way back in the summer of 1972 and you know what, it was just as cloudy and rainy then too. I guess you have to hit it at just the right time to really see the views. Nice vid though.
Oh how I wish things were back like they were last Summer when you filmed this. Thank you Robert, for taking us along on another adventure when we are not able to.
Enjoyed this vlog. Thank you Robert. Excellent as always. Will draw many to get on the road and explore. At this time, I bet RV sales through the roof lol. Cheers🥂
You were close to me when you were in Hillsville. Felt so bad you had no sun for that drive. Spent my honeymoon there 42 years ago and it was awesome. Nice video anyway.
Oooh! West Virginia never been there I've been to Virginia. All of these places are amazing. My dad calls me the navigator because you know I navigate and he's like the captain on our ship lol. I hope you had a nice fourth of July weekend Mr. Robert with you and your wife.
Kaleb Jackson i’ve never been to West Virginia either. I have been wanting to go to Harpers Ferry and also to the new river gorge where that big beautiful bridge is!
hey Robert, thanks for this video. I thru hiked the AT in 2019 and man does it bring a tear to my eye seeing these places again. It's amazing how different everyones' experience with a place can be. Happy trails!
For any of you who do not have Robert's albums, get the latest one. The music is awesome. I drove my date home and first time listening she loved the music also. My phone automatically plays these songs and no other songs as soon as I'm in my truck. I stopped listening to talk radio - feel so much happier. No politics. I am not affiliated at all just saying everyone needs their copy. Especially today with all the craziness.
I learned a lot watching your videos, now that travel is discouraged. I’ve been to many of the places that you have visited between Southern PA and the Florida Keys. I like the idea of a smaller RV trailer and medium size truck. You have a trailer with all of the amenities and a tow vehicles that you can park easily (once the RV is disconnected).
Really enjoyed your journey through the Shenandoah National Park. Brought back lots of tent camping memories at Loft Mountains. Great episode as always!
We just stayed at the same KOA in Harpers Ferry this past weekend (July 4th, 2020). From this campground, you can walk into Harpers Ferry park,. You cant currently drive in, due to COVID.
Another great video and just making me add more places to the bucket list! You were only able to take the train bridge in Harpers Ferry only part of the way across as there was a derailment that took out part of the the AT walkway. Apparently all fixed now! The Skyline Drive and Blue Ridge Parkway are on my bucket list and not sure if you aware that Skyline Drive turns into the Blue Ridge Parkway at the south end! Keep the videos coming!
I’ve been on Skyline Drive in October. That was in 1997. Also went in July of 2010. The leaves were beautiful in October, and when I went in July, it was nice and cool up there!
HI Robert first timer here. You missed the best view in harpers ferry. On top of the Maryland Heights trail. It can be a long hike if already tired so maybe you can next time your in the area. Glad to see you in my neck of the woods (Front Royal, va)
Sunday morning...it must be time for a new Traveling Robert video! I was in West Virginia last year to see the New River Gorge but ran out of time before making it to Harper's Ferry. (you know how that is, don't you?) Actually, looking back on my travel journal, I was Shenandoah exactly one month after you were there. Really looking forward to seeing what you get up to on your Summer 2020 trip...have a safe trip!
Hi TR. Thought about a trip you might consider. Miami to Fargo so you can add ND (check that one missed state up there off the list), then out to Vancouver and swing back east on the Trans-Canada Highway taking in the Canadian Rockies (spectacular), Prairies, Lake Superior, and way east through Quebec to the Martimes ending in Nova Scotia and then head south through Maine back to Miami. Lots to cover. I always look forward to your next video.

I don't know where you'd put one but you could get an air fryer in lieu of an oven. If you have the room I'd get the kind that had a grill in it too. They are great. I've been eating zucchini & squash fries instead of potato ones! Nice and healthier. One tip though: Only reheat cheese quesadillas ( made in a pan normal way ) the top tortilla can get loose Up near the browning element and it will turn into smoking burning TarTilla. lol I found that out the hard way. LOL.
