We're big fans of your channel. You inspired us to buy an RV and start our own channel. Like you, I am Cuban American who loves to travel around the USA. Thank you for all the helpful tips and suggestions. You're very inspiring.
One thing I love about your videos is your personality hasn't seemed to change. Often when people start really gaining traction on TH-cam it changes the whole channel and stops being real. Love that your channel is not turning into that and is just like a normal guy traveling and showing everyone around.
@Sean T I believe most are probably extremely pleasant, the visitor's to the parks choose to be there and probably on vacation and hey when on vacation I'm VERY happy.
Really enjoyed this a lot Robert. We’ve put Tallula Gorge on our must-see list. Your cooking segments are always interesting. You’re so fearless in just throwing lots of things together and it works out. My husband said you were making him hungry.
We camped at Tallulah Gorge and loved every minute we spent there, but omg, going back up those steps was a challenge! LoL!! I loved how the campground had it's own trail entrance to the overlooks, interpretative center, etc. The campground was a nice size. While we were there it rained one night so much, most of the tent campers left, we were so happy to be in our little camper. I believe ours is the same size as yours, 17 feet. Thank you so much for your videos, we enjoy watching them every Sunday.
Oh Robert I had to stop the video I was laughing so hard when she told you to keep right and your comeback I'm in the middle of a camp ground. Priceless too funny. Great video thanks Robert😊
Good morning, Robert. What a pleasant escape from our troubled times. You always do a great job of putting it all together. The gorges were beautiful and you captured it all. Thank you and as always, have fun and be safe, my friend.
I love watching your travels as always but starting to love watching you put a meal together as well! Gives me some ideas on dinner! You sure use a lot spices!! During the pandemic, watching your videos is the next best thing in going on a trip myself!
I visited Tallulah Gorge in May. The visitor center was closed (probably still is), because of Covid-19. Made the hike all the way down to Hurricane Falls. Very impressive!! The trails were open, and hardly a soul around, but there was certainly a lot of garbage overflowing from the bins. Another great video, Robert!! The saga continues!!
I love this video. It's in my country. The country that I share what all of my people. It was so good to see places that I enjoy going to on your videos. I did not know about your channel until October 2020. I know you probably will not see this comment, but others may. Love your videos stay safe in God last
Hey O'leno is in my hometown area where I grew up! Gotta love that suspension bridge that had to be rebuilt after a major flood a few years back. The water was actually up to the roofs of all the picnic tables when we went to see it. Such a nice hidden gem getaway though.
👏👏👏😊🎉One thing I can say about your videos’ Robert. When I watch them I feel like I have actually explored the trip with you. Your equipment and the way you present your travels is excellent. I got thirsty before you got back on that long walk back to your camper. Especially walking up all them steps...🤣🤣Thank you for another video well done. Plus the cooking tips😊👍
Yes it has, we hit Tallulah on our return trip to Ohio from FL the last week of March. Tullulah actually was packed, but Helen, GA you could easily driver through with most businesses closed. We hope we can drive US441/US23 on our return trip from FL each year, so much more beauty that the interstates.
Another great video Robert! Enjoyed it alot! We are going to Helen GA in November & gonna be sure to make a trip to Tallulah Gorge..it's beautiful! Thanks again... you're the best 👏
Howy Robert, many thanks for sharing yet another superb video here which I thoroughly enjoyed watching as always when coming from the 'Maestro'.Your videos are indeed a true 'treat' and thus a welcome distraction especially in those trying times we are still going through because of that nasty coronavirus scourge. You sure made my day once again buddy.Best wishes and cordial greetings from William across the Big Pond(Bruges,Belgium,Europe).
Hey, Robert! Next time you go back to the Blue Ridge Parkway, make sure and get to the Grandfather Mountain area. It is so beautiful up there! At certain points along the parkway in that area, you can see mountains for miles and miles and miles!
Robert, it's very cool to see you travel to many of the places that my wife and I have been, such as the Blue Ridge Parkway and Tallulah Gorge State Park. We also own a travel trailer and have been traveling for the past 12 years on weekends and vacations, mainly Florida and south Georgia, but anywhere from the Florida Keys to the Upper Peninsula of Michigan (my home state). We enjoy watching all of your videos. Thank you to you and all the people that help to produce your videos.
Tallulah Falls State Park is SPECTACULAR with so many overlooks and beautiful trails. I especially liked the Suspension Bridge and all of those steps Wow! I'm going to a family reunion in Atlanta and will most definitely check out Tallulah Falls State Park on the way.
Robert like always you put out another good video with awesome views. I do wish that you would try and heat up those flour tortillas before you eat them. Just in a skillet or ever over an open low flame for a few seconds would make a world of difference in taste. Can’t wait to see you back in Florida, that’s my happy place.
Beautiful scenery, my wife couldn't watch most of it as the hights were too much for her to watch I on the other hand found it great ...keep well Robert your videos are more interesting to me then most of what is on tv currently.
Wao I love to watch your videos. It feels like I'm there with you seen the sights. Thank you for taking the time to show us the beautiful nature and places that most can not go visit for some reasons or other. I'm taking notes because I do want to go visit all those places.
Gorgeous as usual, love how you talk back to automated voices, I do the same without thinking about it. People always give me funny looks at automated checkouts, but I can't help it.
Hello Traveling Robert😊! The ride along Skyline Dr and Blue Ridge Parkway was spectacular. I was really hoping that you rejoined the Blue Ridge Parkway at Fancy Gap. Having driven all of the North Carolina section before I could tell you that the NC section is much more scenic with many attractions such as Blue Ridge Music Center, Blowing Rock, The swinging suspension Bridge at Grandfather Mountain, Crabtree Falls, Linville Gorge, and the highest Mountain peak east of the Mississippi, MT Mitchell State Park! You should consider taking that route on your next road trip, it's absolutely SPECTACULAR! Great video Robert!
I'm in Roanoke Va. Peaks is about 25 minutes from my front door. The mountain seen at the lodge in the background is SharkTop. Awesome view opportunities of the galaxy of stars, at night on clear nights.
Catching up again, so finally watched this and as you know Robert, Barb and I by accident and not knowing or having forgot you had been to Tullulah stopped there too on our way home the last week of March. We parked at the Walmart just North of it and since we did not want to ride our bikes back to Walmart, we had to hurry to get to the car before they locked the drive to the welcome center. Should have had water and our lack of being in shape, we thought we would die getting back to the top. We did walk past the inspiration point the next day when we returned to see the few spots we did not get to see, but due to the slow shutdown, the welcome center was already closed. Tullulah is along US441/US23, the former we got on in FL and ran all the way through GA. US 23 actually goes by our home in Ohio, only 3 miles away. We have lost the video we took when we did drive down the stone road and it has many other stone roads and homes back in the deep woods. The main road does go back on a paved hwy on North of the gorge and there are places that the streams run across that road, it was a fun road to drive, even with the banjo music from the movie Deliverance being heard as we snaked around the woods, lol. Of course this is also not far from Helen, GA which has a beautiful state park outside of town, away from the tourist trap part. We could see why you love that part of GA so much.
Can't wait to get into my little Casita and hit the road in October. Hope All the parks are re-opened by then. Thanks, Robert for these videos reminding us what freedom feels like.
That is too funny we have been hiking around there for the last few days. It seems that we are on each others tail😂. Hope to see you on our travels it would be a great surprise. I may just ask you to sing a little something😊Thank you for being you Robert🙋♀️ Happy trails to you🎼🎶🎼🎵
Hey Robert, next time you are coming up I-75 towards Chattanooga you should stay at Cloudlands Canyon State Park on top of Lookout Mountain in NW GA. Since you liked Tallulah Gorge I think you'll really like Cloundlands, it's beautiful. Make reservations though, it's a really popular state park, and try to stay in the west rim campground. Less traffic over there and I didn't see a single spot that wasn't a good campsite. Good overlooks from the rim and trails down to the waterfalls.
I drink those little green juices to when I am traveling because it is so hard to get vegetables in on the road. The gorge looks beautiful-never would have known about it if it weren't for this video.
Comentando con mi esposa que tus videos no tiene nada que envidiarles a las grandes series como National Geografic, buenos videos , musica fresca y buena fotografia , Te felicito ! Una buena colada y ver tus videos dan ganas de salir corriendo a comprar un rv!
And I recognize that cemetery. You turned right out of the campground. That road goes down to a beautiful lake’s boat ramp, but you will need 4x4 to get back up, or a buddy in a 4x4 to assist your assent up the dirt road. I did the latter. Just south there is another lake that 2WDs can access as well as a campground on the lake. Couple of dicey spots with drop offs.
Robert, I’m fairly new to your videos. I really enjoy them. If your ever back up to Peaks of Otter area or nearby let me know. I live near the parkway. My wife and I would like to take you to dinner or have you at our home for smoked beef brisket, pork bar b q and ribs. Jim
I had trip from Maryland to Connecticut this weekend. Roberts song was going through my head. Sounded like this I’m driving with no RV how awesome it would be to have an RV yeah driving with no RV lol. Could have used one. Lol
That gathering was birdwatchers for the fall migration, the hawks and other birds like to cut through several passes along the BRPW and SD. Afton mountain was another good spot for this. And you missed one of the best scenic roads in NC, US 64/highlands rd just passed Franklin NC. Winding road along a river with falls and huge cliffs at every turn and ends in Highlands which is the best kept secret of Western NC.
Good Morning from Jacksonville Fl. / I enjoyed this video . The North Ga. is where I am from, Tallulah Gorge, I was in the Fire Dept. in Clarkesville Ga. We would have to go in the gorge to rescue people that fell. How would you like to do the hiking with out the steps, they weren't there back in the day. Clarkesville is my home town.
Ah the Gorge was our go to place every fall. My parents move to Clarksville when they retired and it was a great destination and base camp for the area. In case you get a day there, they allow 100 people a day to go down into the gorge floor and I highly recommend getting the pass (free) and hiking down the river. Plan to cross the river at the bottom and go up the other side. Dress for wet and pack a lunch. You knocked out a lot of hiking and you are correct, those stairs will wear you out.
