  • 🚨 Pay attention to who’s co-signing your behaviors! It’s all too easy to post about situations, games, or achievements and get flooded with comments from people agreeing with you. For example, an athlete might post a game photo with a ninja emoji or a simple “him,” and suddenly, the comment section is filled with co-signers pumping up the hype. But what gives these co-signers the credibility to validate your own narratives?
Consider this: you wouldn’t go to a dealership with bad credit and expect to drive off with a car just because you have a co-signer with bad credit. Both of you would end up walking home! The same principle applies here. If you truly care about developing your skills and growing as a person, stop seeking out yes men and start looking for constructive critics.
We don’t improve by surrounding ourselves with people who only tell us what we want to hear. Instead, we need to embrace constructive criticism, as it’s the high-octane fuel that propels us toward our goals. When you label critics as “haters,” you miss the opportunity to learn from those who see your potential and want to help you improve.
So, let’s be real: stop letting your friends gas you up with sludge that only slows you down. Seek out the insights that challenge you and push you to grow! 🚀💪🏾
