I worked and retired from one of "The Big Three" auto companies. I worked on the assembly line and was offered several times to drive forklift or test drive the trucks after they came off the line. I declined every time for the reason any accident or close call meant a drug test. Then if you test positive you are subject to random drug tests. They liked to get guys who were on probation right after a long weekend like Memorial or labor day. Then mandatory rehab.
And making sure forklift drivers aren't driving high is bad how?
If you smoke Saturday night with your buddies you aren’t high Monday morning. You’re still going to fail a positive test for weed. It takes weeks to test clean. It doesn’t mean you are incapable of operating a forklift for 3 weeks after getting high. Opiates and uppers don’t last as long in the body, but if you chew a few pills and wash them down with a fifth of Jack on Saturday, you’re sober Monday morning. You’ll still fail a drug screen.
@@carlfrye1566 if you smoke weed Saturday night and get drug tested next Friday, you'll pop positive. Two weeks later and you'll still pop positive for weed.
I also don't drive a forklift because I smoke weed and I have no desire to lose my job. My company is currently paying $2 an hour more to drive a forklift and we still can't get people to drive.

Good meme, but they do still test for it. They did however raise the cutoff from 50ng/dl to 150ng/dl so it's much more difficult to fail for marijuana, but they do still test for it. Still laughably easy to defeat without diluting but tbqh some people legitimately do have problems with marijuana and an intervention of sorts isn't necessarily a bad thing for some folks. If you fail with higher than 150ng/dl you're ripping fat dabs every day.

This is still ridiculous when it comes to cannabis testing, as studies show it can stay in your system for as long as 2 months, depending on how much you use and for how long straight. They should just take cannabis/THC right off the banned list all together. They prescribe shitloads of pain meds to players throughout the season, but noooo not weed.

My little brother failed a piss test after not smoking for 52 days. Originally I thought he was just lying to me, because I got him the job. But to this day, almost 8 years later, he swears that he didn't smoking in 52 days. My little bro isn't obese or anything but he definitely had alot more body fat than an athlete. Also, he wasn't overly active either, he was pretty big into video games at the time, I guess that's all it takes...
Yep body fat is a sponge to thc the more fat you have the longer the chemicals stay in ur body.

The nfl making thc illegal is essentially them denying legitimate treatment for a lot of issues with the players in the nfl. Get with the times; weed/thc isn’t the evil, life-threatening drug as it is thought to be. With all the research out there showing the many benefits of thc (things that can truly help a player to be better), it is nothing but a severe miscalculation on behalf of the NFL to enforce the banning of what can potentially be a very safe and effective choice at treating common problems in the league, at this point.

Yep. And this exactly why there has been a serious opioid problem for many NFLers dealing with chronic pain. Percs or ok, but weed is bad. Dudes like Charles Rogers lost their lives because of this policy.

Substance abuse is a real issue I think that you should call out the NFL more on this and how they use the program to keep people in it
I think they keep them in to hold it over the players heads come contract day.
It is a negative thing, not a positive thing, they selectively enforce it to punish players. Alcoholics and coke heads are in the clear because they only need to be clean for 1 day, meanwhile weed users get fucked over.
They were like "Bigfoot hunting?? ...that dude is definitely gonna fail this test."

My HS football team took SARMS. It spread like wildfire, about 25-30 of us were on SARMS. Everyone knew including coaches and some parents, nobody cared.
Our conference for wrestling almost 4 kids a team in a literal 40 team conference ( largest in the country ) was on a steroid. One drug test that didn’t test for anything other than weed and very easy to get.

Like everyone that's doing in these sports are using testosterone with no ester (it clears your body in under 24 hours but obviously significantly more expensive and tedious) also some peptides are still not banned, on top of this all there's designer masking agents that are really awesome to avoid detection. Robinson Cano wouldn't do winstrol unless he had one of those bad boys, so it's much easier to pass than people think

I used to have to do 2 UAs per week and for a little while I would smoke weed on my test day that preceded the 3 day break right after taking the test. I would pee, then chug a 1.5L of water followed by a 20 oz coffee then go submit my UA and that seemed to work until one time that it did not and I had to do 2 weekends in jail.
They shouldn't be testing for Marijuana at all, just like any workplace in America. It's completely outdated wether its the NFL or any business that exists.....
Some professions should still test like commercial truck drivers and people who operate heavy machinery

Sure behind the wheel is a different story (although not really, but for arguments sake). Unless someone can come up with a drug test that can tell you WHEN they took it. But so far that's not the case.

You sound like one of those weed smokers who protect it at all cost, but weed does make you less effective doing so many things and it can even be dangerous. I wouldn’t like to be traveling in a plane that was setup by people completely baked, or operate a machine that was programmed and setup by a baked guy. I’ve seen many smokers forget about food in the kitchen and starting a little fire (including myself). Can’t get that type of “mistakes” doing something that implies the life of other people, even in simple things like driving or cooking.

The thing about those drug tests is it still shows the player with THC in their pee, The NFL just can't do anything about it until Preseason now. But no when you pee in that cup, it shows what's in your system lol. Pat kept saying they just don't test for THC now but they do because it's on most commonly used drug kits. It just doesn't matter until x date now lol.
