    I stop cooking with oil 6 weeks ago & started a plant based nutrition and OMG My life is changing soo much...I'm losing weight so easy and feeling great...I need to lose more that 211 pounds I have lost my first 40lbs in 6 weeks. Thank You So Much for your Videos I'm learning alot. BLESSINGS

    I learned of sumac back in the 1970's at a Persian restaurant and immediately fell in love with its amazing tart taste. There are many different brands of it available on Amazon.

    I bought the bundle because it seemed like a great deal that I didn't want to miss out on. I was busy though and didn't have time to actually go through it. Doing that now and I absolutely love that you interviewed so many of the authors because it's inspiring me so much!

    Chef AJ, I saw you in Rich Roll's Podcast first time and since then a big fan of you, your interwies are so good, i watch and cook the same time. I have also Diabetes Typ 1 since age of 11. Try eat as healthy as I can, my family and kids eat also vegan. A big thanks to you all the great people you have on your show😊, love from Germany, laura

    I found it very interesting that people here, in Canada, and probably in north US, do not use sumac. I'm from Israel, we have so many dishes contain sumac but never in my life I saw a sumac in nature, until I got here. The sumac trees growing here wild, everywhere. No one uses them or knows what these sour seeds for. 🤔

    TH-cam just interrupted my viewing of your interview with Robby Barbaro with an advertisement of Dr Gundry drinking a slug of olive oil, saying that it is healthy to do this every day!!!! Talk about an example of what Robby was talking about - conflicting info about oil

      I have had a few people send me Dr. Gundry’s videos 😩. I told them to disregard what he says. And I referred them to Dr. McDougall, Dr. Barnard, Dr. Esselstyn, etc….

    I’ve never had a weight problem or a chronic disease, AND I’ve stopped using oil! Like, why not take out one more processed food from your diet?! Haven’t bought oil in years, and I still have some that I did buy from before then, 😅. Btw, coconut oil, especially mixed with shea butter, is great topically on your skin!

    I am a receptionist in an elementary school and we have 3 diabetic kids. Unfortunately, they don’t have plant based doctors and I see one kid struggle with his glycemia. He just is up and down and I am trying to teach him about fat and the dangers of it. Another is always hyperglycaemic in the 375-400 range. It drives me crazy that the parents are not cognizant of the science…. Are there are books for growing kids (tweens) ?

    Since I was old enough to cook, I've never cooked in oil and never poured it on my food. I never understood the concept. And once i learned about calories I sure as heck didn't want it. I'd rather eat food! Plus oil tastes like crap. I just don't get the obsession.

    I didn’t know about sumac either until Covid hit and I wanted to work on cooking different foods from different areas and sumac was a spice someone used and I bought some. It’s good.

    I used to listen to Dr Gundry MD who claims to be a leading Heart Surgeon and insists that olive oil is so good that he recommends drinking it and claims that he drinks lots of it daily for ensuring a healthy cardiovascular system. This is very conflicting advice in contrast with avoiding oil completely as recommended by Dr McDougal.

      Follow the science and read what other plant based doctors advise. Most of them, if not all, are in agreement with Dr. McDougall.

    I have to say transitioning to a vegan diet was easy compared to transitioning to a low fat vegan diet. After a while, I'm getting used to it

    Chef AJ, while I don't miss the actual oil ... I do miss the intense flavor that Sesame Seed Oil has ... there wouldn't be a Sesame Seed Balsamic avalible out there somewhere? Please say yes...

      @@yahschosenshual4623 animal fat is an issue for heart disease, cholesterol, etc more so than any fat. But for diabetes it's any fat because it causes insulin resistance. Check out Dr Mcdougall or Dr esselstyn or Dr Barnard for good explanations
