Hi Vinny, The motor/dynamo and the power supply actually came with the engine. The supply is switchable from 3 to 6 and 12 volts, but the engine runs best on 3 volts for a slow speed. I should imagine 6 volts is need to run the canopy lights, but as I have these powered from a hidden battery under the roof, I am not bothered about trying to get the motor to run them. Hope this helps?
