I have used cotton swab to removed earwax. No wax, it itches and it gave me a ear infection. So I don’t do it anymore. I leave it alone and it feels healthy that way.
I wear hearing aids so if I don’t clean my ears the aids plug up. In the mid fifties my school teacher told us that the only thing we could put in our ears was our elbow.

I would not recommend using soft plugs to help from water getting in as if pushed too deeply into the ear, just pushes the present wax further into the ear canal causing a high percentage of hearing loss.

I can't believe you don't wash your ears. 😲 If you wash with soap and water everyday you will never have build up and when you use a q tip the wax won't be so much you push it inside.

I let the warm water 💦 💧 🚿 stay in my both ears 👂 for around 5 minutes previously before I let the water 💧 🚿 💦 out of my ears 👂 👂 and they are clean. 🧼 🧽 If I place cotton wool buds into my ear 👂 canal, it can 👌 cause damage to my hearing that I could have profound 🧐 hearing loss. I was born with moderate hearing loss that I wear 2 hearing aids. 🦻 🦻 👍
