Super nice rig. I'm still running a 505L...man those Vermeer's run forever with a little maintenance. What ate the teeth off the right rear rake wheel? Looks pretty new to be snapping teeth already.
We don't have Vermeer balers in UK. They seem to have better protection to keep the chains and oily bits free from debris. It's a shame other manufacturers can't do the same.
Man I’m telling you what. I absolutely love this setup. I know you’ve heard me say over and over but I just can’t get over it. I have GOT to get to this point in the hay business
I’d love to but the financial office won’t approve it right now. I know it’s be beneficial but I need a few more guaranteed customers before I take a plunge that deep in debt
It’s all relative for your area, here in SE South Dakota in my opinion Deere has been the best to deal with. I can’t even remember the last time I got the wrong part, and if we ever have troubles we are able to talk to the mechanic and get it figured out. Not opposed to other brands, actually have a cat challenger which is a nice tractor just hate working on it because I have to have special tools and $$$parts.
@@manlyjoel8829 Sure, just depends on conditions. Just finished the easiest hay I ever put up, though the yield was horrible. Been very dry so not much growth, but the ground was bone dry. I didn't even rake, so I actually COULD have used this contraption this time. Usually, I am cutting when the ground is damp due to a small window. I don't find tedding helps as the ground never dries. I need to flip the hay onto a dry patch between windrows. At that point, I am doubling up as not much point in a gigantic wheel rake. But out west, I can see it being helpful.
Made this same switch same model Deere to Vermeer and never going back. Between horrible Deere service and the baler giving out we said no more to Deere
The John Deere 4440 turbo is a fantastic tractor. I had two of them on my farm, one of the most versatile tractors made.

I've never seen that set up here in Australia before with the v rake and bailer behind it looks like it works great 👍🏼
Great footage and content!
Glad you like the Vermeer my dad's company sells Vermeer here in South Africa....love the channel

In Michigan, I could never get hay dry enough to run a setup like this.
Why not ted it? Then use something like this.

Nice looking bales, what density do have set on the monitor
Kinda curious on how big a bale you can make with a Vermeer baler
Nice 4440 they are a great tractor!👍
I always get scared when I brag on my baler and try not to do it.
Impressive video. Been subscribed and watching a while now. Enjoy your videos and this ones my favorite so far. Elba, Al. =small town.
How good would that setup work in smaller fields that weren’t shaped like a square?
Nice job👌👍
Muy bien, good spanish.
Cool video! Good job. Keep it up.
Do you ever make 6' bales? Less stopping.
How do you adjust hay from side to side?
You mentioned you had to take a half day to bale hay...what kind of work do you do for your “day job”?

Great video Dane!
Any chance the new tractor will pull the baler
Is that red bull or budd that you're drinking?
redwow I saw that too. Nothing like sipping an iced cold bud light while bailing
Next video building a shed for my equipment I feel so bad for you have no shed
I wish I that kind of money iam a 100 cow dairy farm go deere
Is that Vermeer wrap? How much per role y’all paying?
