The Pyre Guard is only one letter away from officially being Vulkan's Pyro Guard. Or even, gasp, Gods... Fewer-numbered groupings suit close combat shock troop tactics, as well as keeping the resulting destruction under relative control as opposed to full-on razing. And those tighter-knit units being exemplified by the XVIIIth-unique, homeworld, seven hometown assignments; legion commander and all. THAT is how to cultivate the true and even benevolent humanity between the humans and the astartes of the Imperium. The native endurance and hardiness of Nocturne's residents, while not an even trade-off for a languishing legionnaire total, was at least in the highest tier of quality for aspirants across all legions. Vulkan's own introducition of the 'asymmetry' of control tempering their fire doubtless saved further lives for both the depleted astartes and human civilians. The Salamanders' preferred combination of near but still ranged weaponry is an appreciable and efficient set. As was their stockpiling of heavy attack vehicles. I especially like the Salamanders' banner lizard of their namesake over the awakened volcano, slapped onto the side of the Cerberus tank at 7:20. “Me mind on fire -- Me soul on fire -- Feeling hot hot hot See people rocking -- Hear people chanting -- Feeling hot hot hot Keep up this spirit -- Come on let's do it -- Feeling hot hot hot“ Slight in number but strong in heart and mind, thank you for your return to these classy homies to humans, GDN. One of the things that made me fall in love with the salamanders was there blend of fantasy meets Syfy plus one of the best times I had painting them Plus it's always a breath of fresh air that they--- didn't get their recruitment from some world like nostromo oh boy." 😃👍
