I really wish there was a separate archive channel for these top 10s/100s. I want to subscribe because of these, but I can’t bring myself to ever do it because of the massive, constant output of the channel about things and in formats that I’m uninterested in watching (and therefore a massive number of annoying notifications). I appreciate the summary screens at the end. :) Keep up the good work!

I think these lists best worked for me as 2 series, people's choice and dice tower crew. Gives them both breathing room. Still, I respect that you guys are testing new formats and styles, keep up the good work!

We are currently playing through the campaign and really enjoying it. I didn't think about it much but why doesn't xenoshyft get more love? It does so many things right for deck builders. 1. The system of having waves lets you set up cheap cards to more expensive cards so organically, while many trade row deck builders lock up early on with nothing but pricey cards available. Valley of the Kings does too, but that's the only one coming to mind. 2. Built in deck thinning, so you aren't getting stuck just seeing the same junk cards in late rounds. 3. (and my personal favorite) Cards right into your hand! Deck builders, do this more! Putting cards you've just bought into your discard pile makes late game rounds feel inconsequential.
I think it doesn't get the visibility it should. I have it and it is one of my favourite game (well, I love deckbuilding). It is a crazy good game, and like you said, the cleaning deck mechanic is awesome (you don't have to buy card to remove other cards).
Unlike video games I don’t get angry by how terrible I am probably because I enjoy the mental challenge, the social interaction and the tactile feel of the components.
I'm not surprised about Arcadia Quest, yes it doesn't get as much attention as some of the other games you mentioned but the people who do have it REALLY love it and usually have it in their top 3. Okay some of the balancing is off but I can honestly say I've never gotten so much fun out of a board game before.
Sams choice Neuroshima hex! But he acknowledges that he plays the app not the board game. If we are going to consider apps just like they are BoardGames I think you should separate them as an entry. 2 reasons: 1) the apps don’t always play exactly the same as the board game. 2) you have to ask yourself, would I rather play “Splendor the board game” or “Splendor the app”. If you answer one over the other then it’s a different entry. I’ve met a number of people that play the board game apps, and they play them so often, that when you invite them to play it as a board game, they will often turn you down because they are either tired of it from so many virtual plays, or it just doesn’t play the same to them anymore. IMHO. Something to think about.

Magic The Gathering is immortality guaranteed. What a tremendous success of a game. I myself have never played it. But man, there has to be something to it. I think I want to try it one day.
I still don't understand the comments about Clans of Caledonia's box being too small. My friend has a copy and packs it away easily with room to spare every time, even with promo items inside the box.

Unlock - I never been to a physical "real" Escape Room and have wanted to try a board game version. A couple of these were recently on sale for only $3, so I bought two. So we played it at home and I hated it. It was like doing homework. Never again. My wife liked it though. On my "do not play" again list. Captain Sonar - my #84, and has dropped, as I don't want to play this often but quite enjoy it when I do, so I agree with Tom, its sorta like a Convention game for me. Colosseum - my 20th favorite game and may be dropping slowly. It's fun, but is wearing off in its excitement. I been wanting to buy it for awhile and waited for a sale and got it. I almost kickstarted it. Arcadia Quest - high on my "to play' list. never played it. I like dungeon crawls, especially medium or light weight ones. Magic the gathering - I no longer play, but like many others, played for awhile years ago. Nothing too serious or heavy but was in a couple tournaments. Not on my top 100. Shadows over Camelot - I got on the Dice Tower hype train and bought this. Rare for me, it took 3 plays to determine how I like it. Usually I can know in 1 play. It's okay. I would play it, but not often, sold my copy. Not on my top 10. Rum & Bones - on my "to play" list. I like piratey games. Ca$h & Guns 2nd edition - my 76th favorite game, and does fairly well for me, not a fan of the built in expansion, keep it basic and I quite like it Century Spice Road - another on my "to play" list Flick 'em Up - I am not a dexterity game fan, but the theme intrigued me and so when the plastic version was on sale, I bought it. I thought it fairly fun, needs more plays, is my #101 just missing my top 100. Timeline - I played this several times as a filler, different versions. Not a fan, its okay as a filler waiting for others to game. I might like the combined variant board game, I would try that for sure. This is no where near my top 100. Ethnos - I played this twice. Its decent but not on my top 100. Carcassonne: Amazonas - this is an amazing game. It is my 13th favorite game and my 2nd favorite version of Carcassonne. Sadly my wife sold it, but to my Mom :-) LoL, so I can still play it. We own 3 other Carcassonnes so all is fine. Stockpile - I played this once maybe twice, but doubt it. I thought it decent. I wasn't amazed. Not on my top 100. Xenoshyft - another game on my "to play" list. Until recently I had no interest in deck building games, but this theme intrigued me, so sat on my "to play" list quite awhile. And still sits there. I have since played 2 other deck builders that I do like, so its even more promising. Automania - played it once and think I enjoyed it, but needs a 2nd play. Tentatively sits at #94.
I think Automania would be a more popular game if it weren't for that cover art. The cover art doesn't jive with the intended Euro audience. Art makes a difference.
I'm 100% ok for the faster videos. It's still 43 mins, not exactly a 'quick' video. I really hope Merlin's expansion is still available. Turned Shadows from a great game to a greater game.
Will you please make a separate channel for your top 10s? There are so many other videos (unboxings, game reviews, etc) on this channel that I miss the top 10s, which is the only reason I subscribe. I actually don't play too many games, and am priced out of the market to buy more than one or two a year (bought Castles of Burgundy and Star Realms this year), so the other videos only interest me if I'm looking at that specific game, but your top list videos always interest me.
The first time I did it it was by accident! (not sure if on a phone is the same) Click on Play All of the Top 10 Playlist. While it's playing the newest one, scroll to the bottom right below the video, there is a list of all the videos (today's video is #1/310). In the outer frame (a lighter gray to me) there are 3 little lines with a +. That will add all the playlist to your library, which you can get from the top left menu.
Zee... Voice of the People... I gotta disagree with you about Unlock! being the best of the Escape Room games. My family and I all preferred Exit, since the Unlock games seemed buggy (not as bad as "Escape the Room", with the crappy little key decoder machine that was broken and the company promised to replace and never did). The Exit series was very good, very clever puzzles, and always something that each of us (even my youngest daughter) can be doing while others are working another problem/puzzle.
Could you do a video highlighting the crossover games. Which ones crossover between two of your lists. Which ones crossover on all 3 of your lists. If there are any that cross over with all three of you and the peoples list.

Another great list - Reef has just come through as a review copy so I can't wait to get stuck in! I don't get the love for Charterstone though - I wanted to love it but I just got so disappointed in it. The AI was clunky, the gameplay felt quite dull, but it was very pretty and simple so I respect it, but wouldn't ever play it again.
I am glad that I'm not the only one who thinks this about Charterstone - I do like Stonemaier games (love Viticulture and Scythe) - but this one I just couldn't get into and (this also goes for Time Stories) it is pleasing at least that there are some other people have the same point of view. Otherwise I feel that my experience has been clouded by me playing it wrong - as surely if it is loved by so many there must be something I'm missing or doing wrong.
What if the President of Mother Russia says “you will play cosmic encounter every day for the rest of your life to explore every combination possible... AND everyone named Sam Healey must change their name”. Still a fact?
How about doing a Top 100 of the best board games of All Time or the last 10 years (not yours and not from last year). Its like the top most influence games of all time but not quite.
Would still be in their opinion. Also considering the year the games were made. Exemple: Catan I don’t play anymore but it should be in the top 20 for sure. Because it was one of the best for many years so you have to consider that.

I just played Ethnos twice today and beyond the boring look it is a fun and entertaining game. I like it a lot.

Flick 'em Up - I am not a dexterity game fan, but the theme intrigued me and so when the plastic version was on sale, I bought it. I thought it fairly fun, needs more plays, is my #101 just missing my top 100.
Timeline - I played this several times as a filler, different versions. Not a fan, its okay as a filler waiting for others to game. I might like the combined variant board game, I would try that for sure. This is no where near my top 100.
Ethnos - I played this twice. Its decent but not on my top 100.
Carcassonne: Amazonas - this is an amazing game. It is my 13th favorite game and my 2nd favorite version of Carcassonne. Sadly my wife sold it, but to my Mom :-) LoL, so I can still play it. We own 3 other Carcassonnes so all is fine.
Stockpile - I played this once maybe twice, but doubt it. I thought it decent. I wasn't amazed. Not on my top 100.
Xenoshyft - another game on my "to play" list. Until recently I had no interest in deck building games, but this theme intrigued me, so sat on my "to play" list quite awhile. And still sits there. I have since played 2 other deck builders that I do like, so its even more promising.
Automania - played it once and think I enjoyed it, but needs a 2nd play. Tentatively sits at #94.

I think Automania would be a more popular game if it weren't for that cover art. The cover art doesn't jive with the intended Euro audience. Art makes a difference.
I'm 100% ok for the faster videos. It's still 43 mins, not exactly a 'quick' video. I really hope Merlin's expansion is still available. Turned Shadows from a great game to a greater game.

Just got Reef at our local FLGS last weekend.
Will you please make a separate channel for your top 10s? There are so many other videos (unboxings, game reviews, etc) on this channel that I miss the top 10s, which is the only reason I subscribe. I actually don't play too many games, and am priced out of the market to buy more than one or two a year (bought Castles of Burgundy and Star Realms this year), so the other videos only interest me if I'm looking at that specific game, but your top list videos always interest me.
Tom has stated numerous times he will not make a 2nd channel. But they do do play lists.
I highly recommend subscribing to a list since there's so much released daily.

How do you subscribe to a playlist? I've never noticed a button like that. Is it called following maybe?
The first time I did it it was by accident! (not sure if on a phone is the same) Click on Play All of the Top 10 Playlist. While it's playing the newest one, scroll to the bottom right below the video, there is a list of all the videos (today's video is #1/310). In the outer frame (a lighter gray to me) there are 3 little lines with a +. That will add all the playlist to your library, which you can get from the top left menu.
Zee... Voice of the People... I gotta disagree with you about Unlock! being the best of the Escape Room games. My family and I all preferred Exit, since the Unlock games seemed buggy (not as bad as "Escape the Room", with the crappy little key decoder machine that was broken and the company promised to replace and never did).
The Exit series was very good, very clever puzzles, and always something that each of us (even my youngest daughter) can be doing while others are working another problem/puzzle.
Between Tom’s recent list of top 10 room escape games, and a comment he made on this video, I have a feeling we’ll see Exit higher up on Tom’s list.

Another great list - Reef has just come through as a review copy so I can't wait to get stuck in! I don't get the love for Charterstone though - I wanted to love it but I just got so disappointed in it. The AI was clunky, the gameplay felt quite dull, but it was very pretty and simple so I respect it, but wouldn't ever play it again.
I am glad that I'm not the only one who thinks this about Charterstone - I do like Stonemaier games (love Viticulture and Scythe) - but this one I just couldn't get into and (this also goes for Time Stories) it is pleasing at least that there are some other people have the same point of view. Otherwise I feel that my experience has been clouded by me playing it wrong - as surely if it is loved by so many there must be something I'm missing or doing wrong.

How about doing a Top 100 of the best board games of All Time or the last 10 years (not yours and not from last year). Its like the top most influence games of all time but not quite.

Would still be in their opinion. Also considering the year the games were made. Exemple: Catan I don’t play anymore but it should be in the top 20 for sure. Because it was one of the best for many years so you have to consider that.
