    Great job giving our bike paths exposure. It is sometimes difficult to navigate them.👍 thank you

      Thank you! 😀 yes, it can be really tricky which I think is why people don't ride, it can be too easy to get lost! I'm hoping my video's will help people feel more confident about getting out there and trying these paths 😀🚴‍♀️🚴‍♂️

    hey Serafina you missed a whole section of the bike track through Mclaren Vale. When you got to the main road instead of going on the road you cross and it takes you through the other side of McLaren Vale and brings you safely all the way to that pedestrian crossing safely with no cars to deal with and its a lovely part of the track as well.

      Hi Rodney 😃 funny story, I didn't really know about it at the time! I think I've accidentally been on it once when I got lost 😁 perhaps I need to do a new video!

      @@CyclewithSerafina Sorry, I didnt see Rodney's comment when I just posted mine about McLaren Vale.

      @@GraemeDuncan-p3y all good! I haven't actually been back to look for it, I forgot about it, so a good reminder 😃

    Thanks for a great video. Its a much underrated ride and you've highlighted it really well. One suggestion is that when you get to McLaren Vale, cross over the main road and keep following the trail, it goes behind the primary school and cemetary and you stay off the busy road. It comes out opposite the Almond Train next to the bakery, so you won't miss out on the vegetarian pasty.

      Thanks Graeme 😃 I think I found that trail once, accidentally, and never found it again! Is it on the corner near the toilets? or a bit further along where the bike path ends and you have to ride on the road or footpath?

      @@CyclewithSerafina Its a bit tricky and not well sign posted. I've got a map of McLaren Vale that shows it really well, but I can't seem to attach it here. If you have an email address I'll email it to you. Basically, you go straight over Main Road and along Caffrey St, by the McLaren Vale Motel and Apartments. You did well with the other tricky intersections. I'm in Hallett Cove (so you rode past the back of my house) and the intersection near the shopping centre is really confusing if you're not a local. I was on the trail yesterday, and still managed to take a wrong turn at the veloway junction....

    You make so happy I went to a Trike. No more dismounting, no more balancing acts, no more neck pains, shoulder pains, wrist pains, lower back pains and no mor bruising between the legs that can cause blood clots. Already have 2 pins and 6 screws in lower back, right ankle has been fused and pinned. Have had my wrist cut for having bad wrist.
    Now I sit in a recline position with wrist supports, 30 gears to get where I want to go. Even have a neck rest to allow more enjoyment. I don't miss looks at the ground while pedaling a bicycle, really enjoy looking around and not as I said watching the ground.
    By the way I have a Trek 1000 Graphite composite bike but I got scared when I looked between my legs with a mirror.

    Well done and thanks for sharing, look fwd to riding it one day, pity they don’t make the signage on this and other tracks a bit easier to follow

      Thanks Kym 😃 yes, I find it strange that the signage is so poor considering it's one of our major bike paths. Fingers crossed some good consistent signage is on the cards 🤞🚴‍♀️

    I never thought navigating C2V would be tricky but you explain it well how you could get confused. City of Marion and Onk need to sort that signage!!

      @CyclewithSerafina  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      So glad it's helped! 😁 It confused me a few times before I figured it out, there's some new signage further south but still needing some around Reynella/Hallet Cove area 🤞😃

    Thanks for sharing this, been looking at doing that ride for a while. Would end up a 120 odd km round ride for me unless i start at Seacliffe. Are there any good Cafe's at Willunga? As will need a nice cup of coffee

    • @CyclewithSerafina
      @CyclewithSerafina  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Definitely! Lot's of great cafe's in Willunga 😀 and 120 km is a decent ride, you'll love it! Lot's of variety and 360m elevation, so it's not completely flat 🚴‍♀️

      @@CyclewithSerafina Thanks, nice to know of great cafe's in Willunga. The only annoying thing about this ride is the Hallet Cove station bridge, will suck walking over it in road shoes. Be nice if they had of build it wider and with on ramp off from the road the other end so you don't have to go along the station platform.

    • @CyclewithSerafina
      @CyclewithSerafina  4 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I agree, it seems a very odd design and solution! The other option is to walk your bike across the track, instead of turning right along platform and heading up the ramp you can go straight ahead and cross over to the other side, then up walkway...

    Hi Serafina. Have just come across your videos and am really enjoying them. I myself have just got back into cycling for fitness and fun. I am a largish fellow who has recently lost 15kg following the Keto diet. I live in Morphett Vale and was wondering how hard / hilly is this trail from Reynella to Marino is. Back when I was a teenager, before I had my license, I used to ride my bike from Morphett Vale to the city and back just for the heck of it. Hoping to get back to that fitness. Keep up the great work and hope to hear a response. Take care, stay safe and happy cycling 😀

    • @CyclewithSerafina
      @CyclewithSerafina  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Well done on your weight loss and choosing to get back into cycling for fitness and fun! definitely the best choice 😁👊 the trail from Reynella to Marino is definitely hilly, if you've only been riding on the flats then it will give you a good workout 😊 but they are not big and don't last too long, up and down, up and down. If you're looking for a flat easy ride to start with, don't do this one, if you're looking for something to push yourself a little bit without it being too much, then you'll love it 🤩💪

    I discovered how hard it was to follow the C2V a few weeks ago, should have found this video earlier.
    The council should have made the footpaths that connect the trail clearly out of bitumen and marked it the same as the rest of the path, better signage would be good too.
    But overall great trail

    • @CyclewithSerafina

      I agree! It's because it runs through different councils, hence the inconsistency on many of our bike paths. Would be better if state gov took ownership of all bike paths. I'm glad you found it, it's such a fun ride down south, I call it freedom riding 😁🚴🚴‍♀️
