I'd love to see you team up with Taylor Ray for some videos. Maybe get some drifting lessons go a track day or something, etc. Taylor would be so stoked about Caleb's cars. Both into their Miatas, trucks and Subarus.
Then a little while later we could get to see the B2200 drift the Freedom Factory doing triple tandems with T-Ray and Garrett. Truck, Miata and Interceptor in sync, spewing enough Freedom for us all to live on for months at least XD
truck rips dude! but you gotta remember, you have 300 pork beef pounds of torque and no weight in the back, you don't need to clutch kick to initiate. try weight transferring instead. it's much smoother and you don't have to catch the drift so quickly. clutch kicks are for torqueless 240s that can't keep a drift going at speed, not for initiating.
@@DingDongDrift It is tho, his diff has trouble locking when there's too much grip. You give the diff a much easier chance of locking if you break the traction by clutch kicking or using the ebrake, if you just swing the car around, it doesn't break traction so suddenly and weaker lsd's will have trouble locking up. Kinda the same scenario when you're trying to do donuts on an open diff, if you just go in circles and stab the throttle, you're gonna one wheel peel and not get any angle, if you come in hot and swing the car hard by using the ebrake, you're gonna be able to do the donut and maintain angle, because once it's already sideways and the tires haven broken loose, even an open diff can spin both tires.
the lack of weight in the rear is what prevents him from flicking it in. there’s no weight so it doesn’t naturally want to oversteer without the rear tires spinning first.
Yeah, I agree. Unfortunately, I filmed way too much at the beginning of the day when I was doing poorly, and as soon as I started linking the track I was only using the helmet cam. Then, of course, I find out the helmet cam was pointed a little too low... Improvements will be here for the next event vid!
Hey ahhh so I camp a bit down here in south Florida. The rain will cool the tent boys. You baked all night because of the big canopy blocked the rain and you took the rain cover off. So the rain cover fits loose so you have air flow while It rains cooling the tent. If it was 85°f in the tent with out the rain hitting it you boys would have felt like you where in the ac all dry with it properly set up. They have rain cover for a reason and believe it or not, its for the rain. Lol 😆. Good video guys!
Earlier today I had the video with your first time drifting recommended to me by youtube, it's crazy to think how far you have went and it feels so good to see u do all this!
That was great! Nice that nothing serious went wrong and it looks like it was fun. Truck did really well. The drone shots were great too, glad they allowed you guys to fly there, as I imagine some events are stricter about that.
Really nice to have the overhead view of the track and have the path get laid out. Without landmarks it's really hard to tell where people are at when they do drifting vids.
Learning to drift a "slower" vehicle will make you such a greater driver when you finally get to building a fast one... I've noticed that most people who go straight to a pretty much pro car lack so much refinement and its the car basically drifting for them... nice to see your projects seem to be coming close to where you want them
Something I've seen recomended before was to slow down how fast the wheel snaps back. It's easier to catch the slide if you start feeding the wheel early instead of snatching it at the last moment.
You should get in contact with Taylor Ray and get him to hook up the truck with some suspension tuning and an alignment and other odds and ends he can think of. Also would be good to get with him about tires. Basic walmart tires won't cut it when you start going full throttle and not feathering it around the track. I think he would really dig the truck and offer a lot of insight on what it needs and doesn't need to make it even better.
A 90s Dodge Dakota is a great starter. I used to rip the hell outta mine and she was bone stock. An R/T would be even better cause bigger motor and factory LSD.
I would love to see more drone footage in the future. Can't really see what's going on the gopro footage. edit - wait, did I just get a shoutout from pasha? Cause my last name IS a bit difficult to say for foreigners
This is some cool content man I haven't been keeping up with you but you've got half a million subs now congrats - random guy who liked your forza drag racing series
Gingium is gonna be that one TH-camr that we all acknowledge uses random objects as microphones, and tries to cleverly hide a Lavalier mic on it. In the garage, its a spanner, at drift events its a hatchet. What next? At rally events is it gonna be a snow brush? At track races is it gonna be a shovel? This is gonna be so much lols XD
would have love to see all runs in full, it's rare to see you driving instead of talking to the camera or beautyshots. freat driving, it was fun to watch you drift. hope we gety more driving this year with the whole corona epidemic going on. stay safe
Just my opinion: I think you need more caster for the steering wheel to spin back for you instead of having to grab it and spin it in the direction you want it to go
Looks like a great time. Drones take drift videos to a new level (no pun intended). Have you seen Cleetus's chase drone footage? Don't know is that would be allowed at a public track, but there's nothing like it.
I’d say try to carry more speed through the track, since trucks have no weight in the rear you cant really power out and gain speed in a corner, that power is lost in more wheelspin. Ive never taken it to a track cause its stock so all my experience is out in Mexico, but my truck can link corners even with my open diff as long as i have good entry and transition speed.
Cant wait to see this thing with a cage! So much body flex and hopefully that fixes it! Great video. Edit: Anyone else keep trying to scroll up to see more camera or like peek under without intending too cause of the camera angle? XD XD Just thought it was funny haha
Haha yeah, it definitely needs a cage to fix the flex. Thankfully it still rips! And yes, I kept trying to do that WHILE EDITING, LOL. I'll have it pointed up more in the next video.
your progress is sick man. however if the YoUtUbE CoMmEnT’s DrIfT pRo’S advice is to go by anything, i would say you should rev your car out more. back when Adam went with Nicole to Japan, it was a thing he mentioned a lot. when she started to modulate the throttle, but not fully come off in corners, she managed to transition a lot easier. a bit more throttle could go a long way. but, only you know how to drive your car, so take what i said with a grain of salt :). loving your videos tho Caleb, you’re doing awesome!
Man I remember when you just moved with Audrey, why we don't see her in your videos anymore?? That truck is a beast!!!!!, I hope one day I can build my own
I'd love to see you team up with Taylor Ray for some videos. Maybe get some drifting lessons go a track day or something, etc. Taylor would be so stoked about Caleb's cars. Both into their Miatas, trucks and Subarus.
I would support that
Hell yeah and Taylor seems like a great teacher, plus he has drifted a bunch of different cars.
That actually sounds awesome, i love both of them
That would be a great crossover

I'm pretty sure the shock of the clutch kick actually help the diff locking up tho.
@@imnota that's now how locking diffs work

She's a beast! Glad to see she's running great after a weekend of rips
I'd love to see T-Ray and Gingium get together for some lessons or something.
By t ray do you mean Taylor ray? And if so you are a genius
I believe he did mean him. And that would be some videos of a lifetime
That would be amazing
@@terriblyawesomeproductions8937 Yes indeed I did mean Taylor. :D
I think you need to improve internal camera angles, other than that it was perfect!
Agree. Would like to see a fixed in car cam like Taylor does.

It does have a muffler

One thing about gingium, is that he sure knows how to make really good looking vehicles. Not over the top like some builds I've seen on the net.
Love to see him go drift with lz
