Hi Chris ! Since a lot of carp have now started spawning across the country I would be setting my stall out for catching the cats ! I would use 20mm halibut pellet and a size 4 hook. Running rig , 2 ft of rig tubing and you can have up to a string of 4 of the halibut pellets, even small cats would take that. By all means glug them etc . Your 18 lb line should be strong enough for the cats your targeting. Good luck buddy !
