    I've always been rather impressed with actors who make it, due to the rejection factor. I've been around professional actors, who actually made a living at it and are still successful. I'm so very shy that it would completely crush my fragile self, but I have a real appreciation for it as an art form.

    • @skywolf25

      I haven't watched the video yet so I don't know who said that, but I think it means that actors should choose the roles(auditioning at this stage) they think is interesting without considering things like how much fame that would bring. If the actor did a good job in it, fame would come naturally, and resulting in more interesting roles to choose from. :)

    • @Nothing-db1zy

      @@skywolf25 "...If the actor did a good job in it, fame would come naturally"
      That makes sense, but more theoretically than not. If you are a white, tall, goodlooking, blue / green eyed actor (by the way, these are the main traits of the guys in the video, right?), things may come much easier. That said, I'm currently in love with Jim Broadbent's work.

    Is there a version of gay leading actors? Why am I seeing only straight leading actors? Maybe I think is because there's not much of a demand for gay roles. If I'm right in this BAFTA, my question to you is why are there more straight oriented stories in Britain than gay ones, because something is not right. A large percentage of men are gay in the UK, why are they being ignored? As a gay man I do not see myself in these men and find very hard to be inspired by them.

    • @sarahbegin1363
      @sarahbegin1363 8 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Well, there does indeed seem to be an abundance of homosexual men in Britain-but that doesn't mean they aren't heavily outweighed by the straight men-and you can certainly though see gays creeping in more and more frequently to all kinds of shows, Doctor Who especially, I note (as smaller characters, granted, but there are still an awful lot)-BAFTA just pulled together the best actors that were to hand-and if you look at the ratio of gay to straight and then refine for top quality, chances are those men wouldn't be available. I hardly think they were be discriminative or anything of the like.

If cinema back to how it was I not going to call them in this way but the thing is so ugly in terms of morality and respect that I have to think so! I simply can't trust in them if i meet with some ...they are like politicians hope the Dear Cumberbath get another job, saying more serious than fun ... Look girl, I say what I want here on the internet! And another I actually do not like the career of actors because they lying and live in large or small screen as you wish! Unfortunately I have this weakness to like and a lot of television and cinema but no such thing nowadays love the classics of Hollywood and TV and what I saw in "Sherlock" was a touch of famous filmmaker Billy Wilder and until some more influences from Alfred Hitchcock but also the actor is a talented. Now as a human being unfortunately is lying on the screen i don't know who is he in reality .I am a little curious to know how is Mr.Cumberbatch life off screen. My mother told me that she was curious to know who lived in a palace for example, who was that rich man who lived in the palace. The most important thing is what he believes, what their convictions .I will change until the old phrase of the best English playwright who wrote "Hamlet": "To be or not to be that is the question" i can cahange the same question today "Having or not having that is the question" because nowadays so many people worry too much about having material things and not be something or have something important to believe.

    • @vanessacarter1981
      @vanessacarter1981 10 ปีที่แล้ว

      Oh you said that you is not bilingual and then let me ask you something where are you from? Ah, what i not like in Mr Cumberbatch is his profession .Look, what I like about Cinema is not currently being done. So have most of the movies today with rare exceptions : shamelessness in reality show, sex of the most heinous forms, persons of doubtful temper and of course all this is no more than advertising of "politically correct" .The cool today is:be gay, thug, bitch, sleazy, User drug and all bad habits and addictions. In today's movies portray the most harmful types of serve human, was formerly good Christian customs that were propagated by TV and Cinema was true that there was censorship and persecution of communists or filocomunistas made by Mr. Joseph McCarthy was Senator USA and has up a name for this phenomenon: McCarthyism. Today there are more High Teck and less a moral separation of good and evil.It's all ambiguous,i like Mr. Cumberbatch seems that he is different but I'm not saying that he should reveal the things of his private life publicly what I have and so also a curiosity to know what he would do if it ended this fame, meteoric success and fanaticism (which is not normal)
      by some women who are not sointerested only in his money and his fame as he said : He not think rthat he now is the most beautiful or the sexiest as they said now .Must be hard for him to deal with that with all this fame and this madness...so sadly mostly people like him has no luck in love and marriage end up marrying two or more times like as the famous actress Elizabeth Taylor by exemple.Moreover they don't marry, stay over there fornicating with how many women that only God knows!I hope in God that he is became a rarity among so many snakes and are in darkness in Hollywood, because so much tragedy already happened in Hollywood ,so gave a look at the father of the donkeys: google, bing and even in encyclopedias of life. I already got tired of seeing life imitating art, actors come to head in the lives of the characters they play that end up as them. Do you know the case of Norman Bates? This was the character of Anthony Perkins played in the movie called Psycho directed by Alfred Hitchcock, the actor was never the same after this movie,in all movies before that the actor staged and interpreted and was always the Norman Bates we saw in the guy on the screen.He became prisioner of this character.I saw in a few days ago that Mr Cumberbatch was visiting a psychologist ,why is it?

    Acting advice 101: to be successful as a male actor you have to be #1 - very liberal.. not moderate or fair minded but extreme secular progressive left; #2 - you must be willing to play homosexuals whether deep down you find it revolting or not and #3 you must pretend actresses are on equal standing to you even when they're not..
