Having the BSM indicator on the exterior mirror is much more preferable to me. My Fusion, Jetta, and Passat all have it on the exterior mirrors and I think it makes sense because that’s where you are looking. Plus it lets everyone know you are not a broke bitch and got the upgraded model!!
The only reason why I like it being on the outside is so I can see it light up when I drive by on other peoples cars . Lol. I once rented a Volkswagen, the sensor was on the outside, and they have a cutout for the turn signal so I guess you can see your turn signal. Between the flashing turn signal and the flashing bsm and the lights of the car next to to it’s really confusing really fast. Too much distraction
CharlietoKind I didn’t think about that! Yeah on my Passat it’s kind of confusing because you can see the turn signal and the BSM indicator at the same time. On my Jetta it doesn’t have turn signal mirrors so you don’t have to worry about that. And yeah I agree with seeing on the outside of other cars when I drive by lol 😂
A shame you guys get the crap version. Here in the UK where it's known as the Qashqai, they've given it a 1.3 turbo petrol which makes more power than that N/A 2.0 you guys get at 163bhp and they've also got rid of the crappy CVT too. Over here it now has a 7 speed DCT and is far better to drive as a result.
Not sure why Nissan sends it here with such an anemic powertrain and groany CVT. They should at least offer the turbo as an option with the DCT that would make it more palatable.
@@digitaldoc100 Exactly. I mean of course it isn't aimed at car enthusiasts but Americans in general are so power-crazed when it comes to their cars no matter the segment so it would make a lot of sense to give you guys the version we have in the UK.

@William Atmur In several other markets, Nissan offers this (and it's quite popular) with a manual transmission and a " regular " automatic transmission. It's also offered with a turbo diesel engine. The U.S. gets a CVT in most Nissan sedans and CUVs purely to get the most possible miles from a gallon of gas. That Nissan has a stake in JATCO helps, but that company does make fairly decent automatic transmissions. It's Nissan's implementation of the CVT that stinks, a few other Japanese companies do a slightly better job. BTW, the Honda HR-V also has a CVT as do all Subarus. The Rogue Sport probably gets worse gas mileage than the regular Rogue because of those 19” wheels and the tires that go with them. It also might be slightly less aerodynamic because it is shorter and the rear drop off is steep.
I have 2020 Rogue Sport SV with weather and technology packages. This fully loaded like a mini Murano with Nissan 360 Shield it can drive by itself briefly. And it very quiet
